Would that be the special group of people who had access to TV in the 1960's... or in later years when it was repeated on cable?

As far as I am concerned, any question to do with pop music after the 80's is a waste of space, but they seem to get through with no worries. Oh and given some of my questions already accepted, this is a real doozy of a rejection.

a) Maverick was an American western series.
b) It was definitely shown in Australia... and in all likelihood Canada, UK and New Zealand, if not other European, African and South American Countries. (BTW, don't players have 4 minutes plus to give an answer... and are they not online... and is a search engine not too far away?)

Utnapishtim is one of the three main characters in the epic - I am not asking detailed knowledge about him like the question that was accepted and which I got asked. How can they allow a harder question about the same topic and then refuse mine? Should there not be some consistancy?

Hardly anyone would know the answer to that question, or have any idea who Utnapishtim was without some context. However, given the wrong answers, a blind squirrel should be able to get that question correct. So my question (for stekkos) is: are the wrong answers supposed to be factored in to the "special group" calculations? If so, this question really boils down to "Which of these names is Sumerian?"

I answered also at my topic but you brought up an interesting point here: The answers are obvious. But that is not the way we evaluate. Personally in my rush i didnt even noticed how obvious the wrong answers were. I went searching for the correct one. Many players would do the same because there is limited time to answer. We evaluate a question according to what i mentioned at my answer to you at my topic. Example:

Math questions of the type 234x122=? are not allowed. Even if the answers are 5, 0, 1, 28548 (WHICH MAKES THE CORRECT PRETTY OBVIOUS) it makes no difference. This type is not accepted.

For players benefit, I will start adding the questions like stekkos on the "Why did i reject a question (stekkos)"http://forum.doomlord.net/index.php/topic,77.0 thread.

I renounce to ever write another quiz question because who ever they have evaluating them are complete morons. Nearly every question I submit is bad because only a special group of people know it or whatever, but they think everyone should know who all these stupid cricket and rugby players are. It's total bu11sh1t!

You have got to be kidding me.... this question is basic, and the movie series is not an American thing, the Harry Potter movies and global. Not only that but the question is easily Google-able, the answer comes up right away on the search page.

Harry Potter is global but the reason you got rejected is because you were asking about a detail not the movie series in general. If you read the quiz rules topic, you will see what i mean.

Petel, although is appreciated you try to answer, please do not respond in such a sarcastic way. Especially your last comment makes it sound as if you are an evaluator and you are telling the player evaluators do not care about the google remark, although you have nothing to do with evaluating.

Rok3269, google is not a factor in getting a question accepted. Evaluators follow a set of rules regarding what to accept and if a question satisfies them passes regardless of how easy is to google the answer.

Wolvesbane also exists for the same purpose in many legends and folk tales....

Well for example in "vampire diaries" tv series it doesn't prevent turning into warewolf it simply weakens them and warewolfs take it on purpose. Bottom line= too detailed.
