the "special group of people might know the answer" reason needs to be dropped, the quiz is full of questions that could fall into this category, it should just be replaced by googleability. if answer can be found on first page of goog then its in if it cant then its out.

probably becuase the Dakar rally is not just based in Sth America, dakar is actually in Africa which u also have an answer for, its also known as the Paris to Dakar rally which you also have an answer of Europe, so out of a possible 4 answers, 3 of them are correct

you should be able to get it passed if u specify a year. (" currently" becomes outdated every year, so the way you have it worded it will at some point again become a wrong question, it needs a year).

Vassili Zaitsev was a sniper - he is world famous as such - the head of the US Sniper School attended his funeral he is that famous. He was regular army - ended up a captain so could not be a Partisan or a Political officer (There is a political officer in the film but he has a different name and is not the main character) and as a hero of the Soviet Union he could not be a traitor.

So how can the answer be ambiguous or wrong???

Maybe they confused the word Partisan with the word Patriot? So they thought he was a Partisan Sniper? I guess if English is not their first language that is possible....

But then does that mean we have to provide a dictionary definition for all the words we use?

Vassili Zatsev is the name of the Charactor in the film NOT the name of the Actor who played him. I did this so that a google search of his name would quickly identify him rather than expecting people to know which character an actor played.

Partisan is the correct title for an irregular pro-soviet fighter opperating behind German lines in WW2.

The only debatable part is (as mentioned) calling him a Partisan - after all, he did take up arms against an invading force. Resubmit the question changing Partisan to Military Strategist or Member of the KGB... I can't see that being rejected.

This is such bullshit, I answer so many "special group" questions about movies, comics, super heroes from different countries, soccer players in teams I've never heard of and what happens when i submit a question about a well known citrus drink that has a very popular slogan, you dick with me. Thanks! Thanks for not letting this one get by and cause someone to google such a frivolous and unknown to most "special group" question, you know the ones that drink juices not sodas or beer.
