If that's true then it is yet another poor response from the evaluators. An Acorn is an old type of computer, if you want to go looking for invented reasons to reject it. This is a perfectly good question, based on the little known fact that an almond is a seed, not a nut. My guess is that whoever evaluated it thought that an almond was a nut, and rejected it because they didn't understand it. But that's just a guess, and that's my main grouch with the evaluation system - questions get rejected or accepted more or less at random, and we are left to guess.

I can't see anything wrong with this - an excellent question, by the way, it has taught me a bit of trivia that I did not know before, and I am pretty well up on WW2 history. Maybe the evaluator thought "Iceland" was a mis-spelling of "Island", but who knows. This is one of the worst aspects of this game, you can have a perfectly good question rejected, and you never even get to find out the reason. Whatever is wrong with this question, it's not spelling - fix the system for 2012, folks.

According to evaluators only a special group of people might know the answer.

There's a lot of sports questions like this already in the database, are those going to be removed? Is the "special group of people" pertaining to those that know how to use Google?

Doomlord forum -> Doomlord Game Forums -> Quiz -> Quiz evaluation rules and updates

3. History: Events from any part of the world are ok as long as they had a major impact at least on one nation or country. Inventions, wars, natural disasters, politics, anything is good as long as it follows that rule. Example of bad question: ""What year did the 12th president of X country died"" Dates should be widely spaced, so if something happened at 1809, put as answers at least (approximate suggestions)1830, 1809, 1821, 1789, not 1809, 1810, 1808,1807. The idea is that a player that has some idea of the event to make an educated guess, not scroll through google to find the date.

killer of all, another possibility is that the evaluators are validly determining that your quiz question was ambiguous. "invented" according to what culture? couldn't the argument be made that G-d, one of your answers, invented all numbers including zero?
