Trying on my W2 char I got this: Adatbázis hiba! Google says it means Database Error! so I guess the quiz olympics database is having issues...

Yep, exact same problem, but it was fine on W2...

i have had the same issues on server4 and i still cant get on to start i do not think it is my comp
seems to be ok on all the other servers it as been possible to complete

W4 quiz olympics still not working.

Cruel.

I just saw on world 4 that people were awarded quiz medals for the event, but nobody completed the olympics. I do not know if this is an oversight or a bug.

They have been awarded for W1 and W2 as well.

So I have 2x Adatbázis hiba! and one medal to show for this one. I don't mind losing but I do mind trying to enter but not being able to for technical reasons!!!

And one of my guild mates got a medal for 0 answers and 900 seconds on world 4.

Yes, but on W4 the results were a joke, people received their medals for nothing. In my opinion, they should give medals to everyone on W4 or to nobody at all.

It was different on the other worlds, where those not encountering the database errors were able to finish the competition. I'm not sure what they can do to compensate people who encountered those errors. Probably the only thing to do is to fix the error and organize one more quiz Olympics in the near future.

I just got an official reply, they will not do anything about W2 as only a few were affected, but will rerun the quiz olympics on W4.

That is in my oppinion better than nothing, but not good enough.

Isn't part of the problem the timing of the olympics, i.e. run on Friday-Saturday when the programmers cannot react to peoples problems?

Maybe it would make sense to change the timing of the Olympics to start on a Thursday?

Or just have someone available that can react if needed.

i'm having a more serious issue, but i see no one is interested in it...i bought 350 AS on Friday but didn't get them by now....i'm out of premium and cannot develop as well as i want, and still no one does anything...it's a great mess up...i hate you guys...

Me too (with some different time of course), that's why I'm so eager to see the results. But weekend is around the corner again and we know that the people from support drop their keyboards on Friday and they only pick them up on Monday, so we might not see if we got a medal until the end of the weekend.

I have 48 correct but i am still very interested to know the results
