Tree of Knowledge
1. hozzászólás - 2013.08.06. 14:01:50
Tree of KnowledgeTomorrow, we add a new feature to the game which helps players to build clan buildings faster, and also gives a new goal to high-level players. Once a server has at least one lvl 25 Pyramid of Glory, players will begin receiving energy bricks for hunting, dueling and challenging. You can also buy the bricks in the shop. The clan with the lvl 25 Pyramid can start building the Tree of Knowledge from bricks. They get the energy bricks from other players in exchange for the soul-energy they spend on building. The Tree of Knowledge gives numerous rewards each time a clan member levels up.
The lower level players who produce the bricks, get soul-energy for their bricks which they can spend on building. This way, new and mid-level characters can progress with building requirements much quicker. Please note that the clan members who already have a Tree of Knowledge do not receive energy bricks for hunting and dueling anymore.
Furthermore, the clan quest "build 10 levels" becomes easier, since building a level 5 Tree to level 6 immediately counts for 6!
We hope you like this new addition to the game.

Some more details:
Each day at midnight, we count the energy bricks collected by players. We also summarize all the soul-energy spent on building Trees of Life. We divide the soul-energy by the number of bricks to determine how much SE a brick worth.
Example: one day players on the server collect a total of 500 bricks. A clan builds 100.000 SE into his Tree, the other 400.000. So each brick worth 500.000 / 500 = 1000 SE. So the first clan gets 100 bricks, then other 400. Players receive 1000 SE per brick they had which they can use for building their clan buildings.
A brick worth at least 1000, and no more than 10.000 SE. So if there are 20.000 bricks, and only 2000.000 SE build, then players will get 1000 SE per brick, and the clan gets 2000 bricks. Players lower than level 50 get less SE for their bricks. A level 1 gets only 1/50 of the normal price, a level 2 gets 2/50 etc.
Bricks are always used up each day. But the building energy you get for them, you can use it any time later.
If a clan already has a high level Tree, and another only a low level one, the lower level clan will get more bricks for the same amount of SE than the high level one. This is to prevent the most powerful clan to grab all bricks.

This must be wrong. It should be that the first clan build for 100.000 and the other for 400.000, no? Not 1.000.000 and 400.000.

And what happens if there are no players in clans with Pyramid below level 25? Are there no bricks produced? Can we not build the Tree of life?

The Tree of Knowledge gives numerous rewards each time a clan member levels up.

What are the rewards?

Idézet: Miklos

Example: one day players on the server collect a total of 500 bricks. A clan builds 1000.000 SE into his Tree, the other 400.000. So each brick worth 500.000 / 500 = 1000 SE. So the first clan gets 100 bricks, then other 400. Players receive 1000 SE per brick they had which they can use for building their clan buildings.

I think Sbart is right and the 1000.000 was a mistype.

Idézet: Miklos

A brick worth at least 1000, and no more than 10.000 SE. So if there are 20.000 bricks, and only 2000.000 SE build, then players will get 1000 SE per brick, and the clan gets 1000 bricks.

Why does the clan get only 1000 bricks?

Idézet: Miklos

If a clan already has a high level Tree, and another only a low level one, the lower level clan will get more bricks for the same amount of SE than the high level one. This is to prevent the most powerful clan to grab all bricks.

Does this mean the formula above is not valid?
Those 2 clans in the example would only get 400 and 100 in case they had the same level of the Tree?

Thanks,
Cruel.

Yes, wanted to write 100.000, sorry

As long as there are no clans with lvl 25+ Pyramid of Glory, there are no energy bricks on that world. But, prerequisite for Tree of Life is lvl 25 Pyramid of Glory anyway.

Rewards are:
temple crystal, relic shard, shard of loyalty, +1 critical hit, +1 critical spell, lesser hunters loot, 5 platinum, relic shard, golden ducat, luck coupon

How you get the rewards:
Number of rewards you get: Your level * top50 modifier * Tree level /400.
For example, if you are level 150, has a 1.2 top50 modifier, and your tree is level 10, you get 150*1.2*10 / 400 = first 4 items from the above list. If you would get more than 10, you get again the first items from the list.
You get these rewards when you level up.

Yes that was typo also (seems I can't count, sorry) If a clan build 2.000.000, they get 2.000 bricks (2M / 1000).

If the clans have the same level of tree, the formulae is valid. But if one clan has much higher level of Tree, then they must buld more for the same amount of bricks. I can show you the exact mathematical model if you are interested

lesser hunter's loot is a 10-shot hunter's loot.
relic shard is an item which can be exchanged for various rewards like temple crystals.

Small question about the reward formula:
a) How does it round? In the example given I get the reward number to be 4,5, and then it says I would get the first 4 rewards. Does it always round down?
b) The formula posted here says [(Your level) * (top50 modifier) * (Tree level) /400] and the formula on the Hungarian wiki says [(Your level) * (top50 modifier) * (Tree level) /300]. Which one is correct?

EDIT
Scrap question b), the Hungarian wiki was changed to /400 (must have been a typo or something).

Got my first Relic Shard. I have 2 questions:
- How does the Kryxonium focus work? It is said to allow upgrades from mithril, but what comes after mithril? And how much discount do we get? 5.5%? Is it just one more upgrade or can we increase it even further?
- The bronze medal of doom requires 10 medals of doom. Do we lose them when we acquire the bronze medal? And how many of those can we have? Can we get 5 to have instantaneous hunts?

Thanks,
Cruel.

If i'm correct, hunting time minimum is 1 minute, only the bow relic can decrease this below 1 minute.

Tallia,
The Bronze Medal of Doom is a new item that reduces the minimum hunting time from the current 45 seconds.

The Bronze medal of Doom looks...weird.
It looks like it costs 10 Medals of Doom and 40 Relic shards (so quite a lot!) and would net give you:
+2 Building (+12, but you also loose +10 from the 10 Medals of Doom) and -10 seconds minimum hunt time. But you also loose 10 seconds hunt time reduction! So unless you are at minimum hunt time (can you even be that?), it is basically a loss to buy it.

Some things that might affect this:
Is there a maximum in number of Medals of Doom you can have? I have 10, anyone have more than that?
The Bronze medal of Doom does not actually cost 10 Medals of Doom. In this case the text is misleading.
Is it unique?

Azanael has 13 medals.

I kinda suspect it's called Bronze medal of Doom, because it upgrades to silver, gold, etc ... at a multiplied cost (same as relics ... maybe it is in fact a relic), so the gold medal of doom would cost 30 medals of doom and 120 Relic shards (!!) ... so in theory it could be possible to hunt for 0 seconds, but collecting the total cost would take forever ^^

That actually makes sense Kalann. It would be cool to be able to upgrade it further than bronze.

Sbart,
With enough Megaessences and the EF essence, it is possible.

The Top50 modifier works this way:

Players in the Top50 XP receive a modifier to the XP needed to level up. This modifier is between 102% and 200%.

Simply said,
Top character gets a 200% modifier, the 2nd gets 198%, the 3rd get 196% etc.
If several players are of the same level, they get the same modifier. Ie:

level 200: Player A 200%
level 198: Player B, C 196%
level 196: Player D, E 192%

if F player levels up to 196, he will get a modifier of 192% too, and the modifier table is updated the next day, assigning 190% to level 196 since there are 3 players now.

Because TOP50 players level up slower due to this modifier, level-based reward systems - like Tree of Knowledge and level requirement for Clan quests - use this modifier too.
