Some questions about things that this affects:

1) Will the "Advance x levels" Clan quest be affected? The change will make it more difficult for anyone in the top50 to level up, so this will be affected.
2) Will this change have any effect on task such as "Buy a new helmet" in the Temple of Doom? Buying new equipment is something normally done after you gain some levels, and with this change that will happen less often (although the frequency of the ToD will not change).
3) Is there any ETA for this to be implemented? The 1.5-2 weeks is almost up.

I don't understand what this update is about. I am in the top 50, I am above lvl 60, I just leveled, but the xp needed to level up is not modified by any factor (should be about 40%). What am I missing?

Deadstar, are you sure you leveled after the news? I see you do have a normal 1x modifier, but I saw this work for other players. If you did we will check out what might cause it.

Sbart: Sorry for not answering your questions in advance. We will change the advance X levels clan quest and make it easier. The buy a new helmet was also made easier by giving an alternative of "or boots".

After this update i feel like iwasted 40 AA points on deep learning, I mean, leel up a few spots into top 50 and ye have the same exp increaee and NOT the lesser AA points penalaty. Can i get a refund on these 40 AA points? (I can always use those points to boost the base level of my pets), having to spend 3 AA points to forget the skill is fine if it started out as a mistake, but not if programmers changed the rules afterwards.

The trouble is:

why would i want to need MORE xp to level IF not to keep enoughe duel targets?

the whole new bussiness of more xp to level up for the top takes care of this allready (and yes, i am in the top 50 on W3), deep learning ALSO reduces AA gained by the same percentage of more xp needed to level up, So now i need even more xp to level up (for no real gain anymore, the duel targets stay allready), So I not only wasted 40 AA points, i also gain AA 20% slower over the added xp needed to level up (for being in the top 50).

the former concept of deep learning was fine, it was a nice compensation for getting high xp for hunts, so I would not advance to fast compared to DD players, and make up for pretty lousy SE/xp ratio on hunts with duel and rep quest SE, so i kept enough duel targets for my duels and quests. (I am NOT a spider, useless on w3 anyway, but i like to have a big selection of duel targets, to fill up rep quests fast, and to keep my petss up in xp gain).

the whole former idea is useless now thou, i simply gain a few ranks for the same xp needed increase and keep on getting more AA points(no 20% gain reduction anymore then) nd i can use lots of AA still (if only for strong bones ability)

Also, the description says AA increases (not decreases). I confess I have never checked to make sure though.

The XP required to gain a level is increased by level x 5%, but the AA points you receive with XP increases by this amount as well.

as i read it, or at least as I understood it, was that the ammount of xp NEEDED to gain an AA point increases by the same ammount as the xp needed to gai a new level, IE is ye would get 1 AA for 1000 xp with 0 deep learning, now you wouyld need 1200 xp at lvl 4, and thou I never counted it out, it at last feels that way to me as well. Which would make sense to me as well, it used to be a spiders skill, and to prevent it from being overpowering, you would not get more AA while staying in the same level for longer time

If ye would tell me as a result of this i get about 142% AA points a level compared to someone with no deep learning AND no DD(due to less AA om hunts due to that) or in other words, about 3 times as much as most other W3 players, then i actually do not believe it

Base AAPts is :
AA = XP / (level*35) >> For you (level 78) : AAPts = XP/2730

With hunting bonuses (Castle, half-year tome of wisdom = +38%) :
AAPts = XP/1978

Try to either hunt or duel exclusively, and check how many exp you need to gain an AAPt.
Compare with my numbers ... If you need more than 2730 or 1978 exp to gain an AAPt, then Deep learning is indeed half-useless ... If you need less, then it's working as Cruel and I envisioned, and is quite worthwhile.

You should find either 3276 or 2275 for dueling, and 2373 or 1648 for hunting.

I have just done a test with duels only.
215 XP gave me 0.0911 AA.
Using the formula, I got AA = XP * 0.0424%
0.0424% equals exactly 1/(95*35)*1.41.
I have 41% bonus for duels (1% from helmet + 34% from castle + 6% from shield of wisdom).
So it seems Deep Learning has no effect on AA whatsoever

Castle only gives AA point bonus to hunting, so do the math again. Also if you are premium player, then you get 10% more AA points, so put an 1,1 multiplier to the formula.

1105 XP = 0.692 AA points --> AA = XP * 0,062624%
1/(95*35)*1,01*1,06*1,1*1,2*1,34*1,1 = 0,062648%

My clan just started the "Advance x levels" clan quest, and it still states that we need to advance x levels, where x is the number of active players. Wasn't there supposed to be a change to this so that the extra xp needed for the top 50 would not affect this? Or have I missed something?
