Thx Caveat, as I said if the first one checks for bigger mistakes first the second one should not even get the question:) I get that sometimes "already part of database" can occur with 2 diff evaluators but the rest should not happen, as I like to think that my question being/having ambiguous answers does not depend on evaluators but on bad quality of question.
If I thought otherwise I d just feel that some evaluators have a pick on me;)

Please also note that i have noticed players taking advantage of my post to "steal" questions. I post there why i rejected a question, including grammar reasons. In several occasions i noticed a different player posting a corrected version of the same question soon after. Since i cannot check if it is the same one but with his W1/W2/W3 account, i have to accept it. But i do get it from the proper player also sometimes later, forcing me to give the already in database without being his fault. But in his point of view, i can imagine the frustration

What has happened to the people that evaluate the questions?

The quality of the questions that I am seeing are, overall, becoming poorer & poorer.

Spelling mistakes, no grammer, no question marks at the end.
Some question I have to reread 2 or 3 times to understand what they are asking. Some are not questions at all, just open ended statements or statements with no purpose, ie: 'an article of clothing.' or 'a type of ship.'
Where is the grammer? where is the question? There are no Capital Letters, no question marks, and the spelling is not correct on all of them either, but I've had many questions rejected for improper spelling/punctuation.

I don't consider myself to be of more than average intelligence, welll, maybe a little more than average.
But I think the overall quality of the questions is becoming very poor. Their is a growing number of questions that cannot be easily googled for an answer because the answers must be researched.
And yet I remember reading in the forum that the best way to submit a question is to make sure it can be easily researched, ie: the answer comes o up in a google search results, not buried in the page which requires more time to find.

Overall this game, which I do so enjoy playing, is becoming less. By that I mean that I no longer answer questions because is disgusts me to see the quality of questions that have been accepted into the game. A mod wrote that there are roughly 3000 questions in the database and if the majority of them are like this, I don't want to be bothered with the whole quiz aspect of the game. if it worsens to the point that the gameplay begins to drop also, I will leave the game and move on to other games. Eventually if enough players do this, this game will cease to exist because nobody backs a loser for long.

Please try to put the game back to where it was, or there may not be a game for much longer.
Good luck & happy holidays

The question/response from evaluators below are in the wrong order. The first evaluation said that I had misspelled, which I had, so I fixed that. Now an evaluator has decided that it is ambiguous. It seems terribly unfair to do what an evaluator suggests and correct your mistakes only to then be told it is ambiguous. I am really trying hard to follow the rules regarding quiz question writing, yet I see so many questions that are horribly written. I'm glad you are cleaning up, but it seems you can't please anyone. Suggestions?

What was the name of the Volkswagen Beetle who starred in a few movies in the 1970's?

Montague
George
Herbie
Bartholomew

The question is valued as "Bad, incorrect question"!
According to evaluators your question is ambiguous.
Your question has been evaluated.
Evaluation of your last question is "Bad, incorrect question".

I had a question rejected because only a specialised (yes - correct spelling of the ENGLISH word) section of people would know the answer. I haven't a clue about who certain writers are but apparently that isn't specialised. The winner of a WORLD championship should be considered non specialised but apparently not. Who are these muppets who decide what is OK. I have found many questions where the answer is WRONG and have complained but I haven't received an answer. WHY.

One very angry customer.

Very angry customer, post your question. Else, even with your perfect English spelling there is no way to answer you

If I write a question and it is evaluated as Bad, do I have the ability to rewrite it? I don't currently see a button that lets me do that.

During the Landragor event people did not hunt, but were killing dracons instead, including the quiz admins. So I ask your patience, I am sure things will be back to normal in 1-2 days and your question will be evaluated.

You have no date stated in the question, and presumably the quarterback changes over time.
Remember that the game can potentially go on for a very long time (years).

Report such questions.

EDIT
What I mean is that if you find such questions, you should copy-paste them to the quiz error thread so that they can be removed/corrected.

The Quoted rules above for sports questions seem to be applied in a very haphazard manner
It seems to me that a simple rule could clear up the issue of over specialization in Sports questions

Questions about an individual countries sports league players or stats should be banned
Maybe even limiting to a minimum International level

I'm sure our friends who insist on submitting questions on the NHL or NFC West or Baseball stats etc. would soon complain if I started submitting questions like
Who was the substiute goalkeeper for Liverpool FC during the 1974-75 season? (A major English football side)
or
Who topped the bowling averages for Essex during the 1992 County Championship? (Cricket by the way)

These sort of questions I would consider unfair. It should also be taken into account that memorising sports stats is a bit of a National pastime for americans, not shared by most other nations and should therefore be categorised as specialist Knowledge.

Case in point today-

Which N.H.L. team listed here is not an "original 6" member?
Detroit Redwings
Boston Bruins
Pittsburg Penguins
New York Rangers

Being Non American there is absolutely no value to me knowing this

So be it - be prepared for lots of real stinker English premiere league and cricket questions from me which will be within current rules but equally useless to non english doomlords.
More seriously
TO ALL DOOMLORDS
Please please please
Questions should either Entertain/Amaze/Educate or Intrigue
not bore, ask yourself this question before you submit "Would you ask your friends this question at a dinner party?"
for the question I quoted above the answer would be -"Not if I wanted to keep them"
