Which chess piece cannot move backwards? (pawn) - this (from someone else) i got in quiz and was ok

where is the difference? You cannot answer neither if you do not know chess rules (and this IS general knowledge)

i chose b and it was incorect, result said a is correct.
well I suggest questions author should put hair dryer to his bathtub while I will be inhaling DHMO from natural air humidity
