The lvl never define the power of a chr, if its starts from lvl 1, or 50 still ppl counts. The lvl 50 world attract new players, cos on lvl 20-30 they just wonder how strong a lvl 50 can be and the medal attract the veterans also.

I don't believe there will be any medals. According to miklos' post, the only prize is the character itself, that can be transferred to another world.
Regarding the new players, it might attract some, but I don't believe it will representative.

The new World 4 format might also attract "old" players that are not happy with their character, and want a chance to re-build it. Maybe people who are veterans, but now realize that they did the "wrong" choice at some point and want a chance start over would be interested in such a world (since you get to transfer the character to one of the "normal" world afterwards). Just a thought.

Old players usually don't realize that their chrs r weak...the ones who r, finish the game, or start a new chr from lvl 1 with their experiences...usually u just hear that "I'm imba", "I lost, cos he was lucky", "I lost again, cos random".

U can choose medal, for any of ur chrs, OR transfer the W4 chr to another world, where u don't have chr WITH the medal. U can try to think about what kind of reward will someone receive, who has good chrs on all world. I know, that u r the "I'm imba" category and unable to imagine that:)

Ok. Maybe it will attract old players.
But the few I have spoken about the issue haven't demonstrated much interest.

To be honest, I have just started a character on W2, and starting again from scratch really sucks.

Being able to transfer a better, experienced Character would save me a lot of hassle ... that would definitely get me interested in W4.

I doubt the amount of SE given will be high enough to make a very powerful character. Not to mention they will not give us the Sapphire Star and the Ruby Triad. So if your goal is to have a top notch character, you are better off starting from level 1.

I belive on hun rapid worlds starting SE sum was 50 mil exp, and a lvl 50. It should be sufficient to choose direction of your char.

If it is 50 Million SE at level 50 that would be about 230-240 SE/Xp. Not that shabby I believe.

I doubt they would give 240 SE/XP. This is only achievable by a very good spider with more than 100% soul drain.
If they do give that much, everyone should drop all their chars lower than lvl 60 (or maybe even higher) right away and start over.

The starting SE on a previous hun W4 was 11M, not 50 M.

That would make it a more reasonable approx. 53 SE/Xp.

And it gets us back to a situation where experienced players won't find any reason to participate in W4.

A possible solution would be to create an alternative prize. I thought of something that would really bring lots of players. What if the prize was:

Option1:
You can take your char to any other world (current prize)

Option 2:
If you don't want to take your char to any other world and you finish in the top 10 (TBD - I believe it has to be either XP or Abis), you get to choose one item from the War of the Hucksters to any char in any world.

I know everyone is concerned about the Landragor event, but the world 4 event was supposed to start tomorrow. Does anyone know when this will start?

Explanation: Due to the implementation of the Temple of Doom, Clan Quests and the Landragor event starting soon, we decided to delay the start of World 4 a bit.

Estimated time of start: the beginning of May.

We are posting preregistration for World4 today. It will have the same rules as previously, with clans and individual doomlords competing for the numerous prizes. Preregistration lasts for 1 week, and the competition begins on next Thursday 14pm CET (8am EST).

A couple of friends and I are planning on creating a modest clan in this new W4.
