But...with the updated text I have a new question.
When the event started out it said I needed 40 Map pieces to get a better reward. Then there was the strange text, and now that the text is fixed it looks like it is 40 Map pieces for +1 Power, 60 more for +2 Power (100 total), and then another 50 for +3 Power (150 total). Or, 50 pieces for every +1 Power. The rules said a modified value of 50, so i assumed that the 40 that was displayed from the beginning was this "modified value".
Did the number of pieces needed to get a higher power Relic change? Will/can it change during the course of the Event?

I am mostly asking since there is quite a difference between collecting 120 and 150 Map pieces.

The base number you need for +1 is 50, for +2, 100, for +3, 150. This number can be higher, if your team has a bonus chance due to having less members than others, but I don't think it can go lower. The reason why you need only 40 for +1 is prolly that you already collected 10 pieces.

No, I am very sure that originally it said that I needed 40 pieces (before I even collected one piece) to get a better reward.

yes indeed; at least @W3 it (still) is 40.

(eg. : To receive a better reward (in case your team doesn't win anyway) you have to collect 13 more map pieces. To receive a reward two grades better you need 73 pieces, for a three grades better you need 123 pieces.

Ok, the situation is: the base value for +1 bonus is not 50, it is 40. In the old times it was 50 but with the young servers it was changed so it was easier to reach.

So is +2 supposed to be 80 or 100 then?

Ok, it actually works this way:
the minimum amount to collect for better price is 40, 100, and 150. This is the amount if you are in the team with the highest chance. If you are in a team where the chance to find is higher, then these numbers will be higher too. But if you switch to a team - or your team changes to - where the chances are lower, it will switch to less (but no less than 40/100/150). But it will not increase.

Ok this might sound complicated, but shortly, we tried to make sure that regardless of chances, being in one team or another will not affect your ability to get the better reward.

Miklos, this system works if the chance for the biggest team is constant and independent from the number of its members (the 2% plus bonuses), and the chance for the other teams is increased so that the strength of each item is roughly the same (chance x players = constant).
In this case, when for smaller teams the number of pieces for the +1,2,3 reward increases accordingly to the chance of getting a piece, the effort to be done for getting better rewards is the same for every player, no matter the team, how many players in the team, etc...
However, if the chance for the biggest team decreases, then it becomes harder to get the +1,2,3 reward when new players join this team. (At that point I don't care what happens to other teams).
That's why I ask if the chance can decrease.

Just a question for clarification Miklos:
Does the number of pieces you need for getting a 1/2/3 power better reward change if the number of people in your team changes? Lets say that there are 20 people in a team, and you need 40/100/150 pieces for better reward. 5 people leave. Does the number of pieces change for the 15 people left in the team?

No, 40/100/150 does not change. But supposedly, if it would be more, it could get lower.

All I can think is that Kutbi doesn't answer the quiz questions to get the 10% bonus, OR has a very low Map Finding Skill (less than one third of his level).

Personally, mine is 31 (near half my level 65) plus I have the Magic Wand so my rate of finding pieces should be 3.5%, and yet it appears I have a better strike rate than that. Then again, I might be talking out of my Southern End.
