What is the highest building in the world?
Petronas Towers

The "Roomba" is a clever little robot that purportedly takes care of a common household need. What does it do?
It can teach you foreign languages.
It cooks delicious meals.
It serves mixed drinks.
It serves as a vacuum cleaner. *
Purportedly? So it doesn't work? Roomba is the name of a robotic vacuum cleaner, so using "purportedly" in this question makes the question wrong.

One of these is not a real acid. Which one?
Diastic *
Sulphuric
Nitric
Acetic
There is an acid called diacetic acid (same as acetoacetic acid) a bit close in spelling to the correct answer.

The ocean looks blue because....?
Sea water absorbs sunlight and gives of a faint blue light
It reflects the blue sky above <- marked as correct
It is an optical illusion produced by the tiny waves on the surface of the water
It is a mirage of the horizon
This is a myth! The ocean is blue because water absorbs less of blue light than it does the other colours.

What was the last name of the person who invented American baseball?
Doubleday <- marked as correct
Mays
Bonds
Jackson
From what I have been able to find, this is a myth.

In The Lord of the Rings there was three elven rings of power. Which of the following did not have one?

Legolas
Galadriel
Elrond
Gandalf

Come on - get crap like this OUT!

I agree! there are two things wrong with this one: neither Legolas nor Gandalf had an elven ring, and it's specialist knowledge anyway.

Oh and it has been brought up earlier.

Could someone please translate this one to English
.... famously produced by ....

Could people please at least attempt to keep the superfluous words and phrases in the sentences used to make up their questions and answers for the quiz to an absolute minimum, thereby keeping the questions simple and easy to understand, so that misunderstandings of the question or the answers to said questions does not become the reason for an incorrect answer....

In other words, saying the same: Please use clear and simple language when making questions for the quiz.

P.s. in the example prompting this post the word "famously" is not merely superfluous but complete gibberish.

In The Cat in The Hat, by Dr. Seuss who were the paired protagonists?
Thing One and Thing Two <- correct
Little Cat A and Little Cat B <- also correct
Ronnie and Donnie
Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee

The Cat in The Hat is the 1st book in a series (or rather a literary universe) also known as The Cat in The Hat. In the 1st book the "paired protagonists" are Thing One and Thing Two, in the second book it's Little Cat A and Little Cat B, in the subsequent stories Thing One and Thing Two are back.

Which is NOT an alkali metal?
Lithium
Magnesium
Potassium
Sodium

This is not wrong, but I think this kind of question should list the International Scientific names as well as the English names.

What term do cemetery enthusiasts use to describe their hobby of exploring a cemetery?
History Hunting
Cemetery visiting
Tomb hopping <- Marked as correct
Graving <-

Checking the internet, I found several references to Graving being the correct answer, and only one reference to Tomb Hopping being the correct answer. So at best this question is ambiguous.

Who is NOT a character in Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series?
Jason Bourne *
Rand al'Thor
Mat Cauthon
Perrin Aybara
Either you have to know who Jason Bourne is, or you have to read all the wheel of time books, this is a specialised group question.

What rises when the Sun sinks, What glows in the darkness that is night?
Taco Bell
The Stars
The Planets
The Moon <- marked as correct.
I have no idea if this is part of a poem or such, but it is not correct. The Moon orbits the Earth, in such a manner that it may be in the sky at any time of the day or night. Depending on the lunar cycle it sets and rises before, after or at the same time as the Sun.

The stars and planets also shine at night, and actually it's only the stars that glow, the Moon and planets shine with reflected light form the Sun.

If you are sober you are NOT...
tall
fat
drunk <- marked as correct
high
You're not high either, high might mean intoxicated by drugs, in which case you're not sober.

Which fast food chain has the slogan "Think outside the bun"?
McDonalds
Taco Bell *
Burger King
Del Taco
How should I know, we don't have Taco Bell and never heard of Del Taco. I'd call this one a specialist group question.

Time for my 5 cent.

First a little background:
On w1 I am one of the strongest players in my level bracket, and can be fairly sure to win any duel, I worked hard for it, always making sure I got maximum SE for as little XP as possible. On w2 I'm a hunter/builder, and can only win over other hunter/builders, I enjoy both. On w1 I enjoy winning duels and gaining SE. On w2 I laugh at the duellers when they get 0 SE for attacking me, not that I get attacked much. I don't have a character on w3.

I don't see the overpowered characters as being a problem in itself, all games reward those that find a way to make the most of it, and that is just as it should be, or the game would very quickly become dull.

I do however see a few "problems" with the balance between duelling and hunting. As I see it the ideal would be that the strongest player would be the player that made the most of all his/her resources, not just the duelling points. (No I do NOT suggest the current worlds be "rebalanced")

If you are a dueller, you have action points wasting away while if you are a hunter you gain nothing from using your duel points, other than the occasional quest, and getting your HP to 1, so that you can hunt without fear for being attacked and loosing your SE. (I haven't gotten to the point where I can do adventures so no idea how they influence the game)

For a dueller gaining a levels is a penalty, while for a hunter it has very little influence, only slightly increasing the SE gain from hunts.

So to sum it up I think all in all the game is good as it is, but I see three "problems" balance, resources, and level. Naturally they are connected, but I think addressing them on the already running worlds would be a major mistake. Players that have worked hard for their position would rightly feel cheated if casual players could suddenly beat them due to the system being changed.

If something should be done I think it should be some additional activities be implemented that use the unused resources. For fighters this could be a sort of combat hunt, where you use, say 5 action points, to fight a creature, if you win you'd gain XP and SE at a level comparable to a successful duel, but less SE than from 5 hunts, making it unattractive to hunters. For hunters it could be some sort of "arena" fight where you battle an NPC with high XP gain compared to the possible SE reward, making it unattractive to the duellers.

The question was about the 3 elven rings of power in LOTR and who did not have one. I'm not 100% sure but it looked like one of the answers was Gandalf - he definitely did not have one. the correct answer was given as Legolas, but if I am right and Gandalf was listed then that means there are two possible correct answers. It may have been Galadriel and I just clicked too quick but I swear it looked like Gandalf!

Having seen the movies several times and read the books more than once, I would most likely be able to answer it within a few seconds, but it is still a specialist answer, as you need to have either read the books, seen the movies, or do more than cursory research to answer it.

How did they call the main character in Blade (the movie)?
Doom Bringer
Day Walker
Vampire Slayer
Day Breaker

How did this pass?? They might have used a phone.... Ok from the answers I can see that it's the name, but it's not on the list, he is called Blade. You would have to know the film to know that he is nicknamed/referred to as The Day Walker.

Edit: Corrected a typo

Where is the southernmost point in Continental Norway?
Lindesnes <-- right
Mandal
Kristiansand

Should be Mandal.
Mandal borders Lindesnes to the west and northwest, Marnardal to the north, Søgne to the east. It is the southernmost town of Norway and the skerry Pysen (south of the town) is the southernmost point of land.

Just checked it with the Norwegian bureau of statistics, according to their website the southernmost point in Norway is Lindesnes. If you want to check it out read http://www.ssb.no/aarbok/geografi.html

Yeah that was exactly my point, you can t just pick someone good on higher level (urgod is 39 lvl) and say that he is cheater. On low levels I agree that there are obvious push accounts which are giving bad name to the rest of good spiders.

Oh and if someone is willing to get their push account to so high lvl that their actual character has an use of it I d congratulate them more than go beserk for cheating:D

Good spiders grow very slowly, a spider never hunt, unless to get a fighting pet, and has his duel point set to 15/day, so until he/she gets access to a dimension gate, he/she will have 15 chances to gain xp per day. Besides a spider will do his/her best to avoid getting xp.

A builder on the other hand will want to gain levels, as you get more SE/hunt the higher your level.

So no congratulations to the spider for having a push account or two in the useful level range. And I hope people will still call attention to players they think are push accounts so the mods/admins can watch them and take action if necessary.
