The Descrition for Thaumaturgy doesn't seem right. I can do 2K damage with my spell (143-220 damage), but my THA is around 200, not 600. (2000/1.3)/220 = 7

Seems mor like 3% damage bonus per level of THA.

Isn't it by chance 2k with critical damage? It seems strange to me to score normal damage of 2k with 200 thaumaturgy using that spell.

IIRC, critical spell makes your spell do 1.3x higher damage.
So with 220 THA, my max damage including critical should be: Max spell dmg *(1+THA/100)*1.3 = 220*3*1.3=800, but I allways do much more, even without critical.

If it is 3% per THA point, it's 220*7*1.3=2002
(I would also say that whole THA is used, not only THA>20. That would bring me to 220*7.6*1.3 = 2173. My current most damage dealt is 2164 which would correspond with it.)

Yes, you're probably right. It would only make sense to use the same multiplier for every level of thaumaturgy, not only for levels above 20.

Quint, you bring tears of joy to my eyes. It was one of the most annoying issues i had since i do not do adventures which include certain tests. Now i do not need to browse through the list every time. Thank you

Check the quests page, these are the final normal quests but they changed also some of them (entity number , adventures reduced)

Just to add to this discussion.
I was attacked by a person with a spell that does 139-139 (good and easy to calculate ). THA was 140 and a critical was achieved. Total damage was 926.
If you do 139*(1+0.03*140)*1.3 = 940, but I have 30 Magic Absortion. So it seems it is a little more than 3% actually.

Edit: The person is emerald. Maybe Emeralds get 3% and others less?

I believe the formula for the damage is not correct.
I have been trying to do the 30 damage quest with the mace (2-9) + 27 Strength, which means I should get 3-36 damage and I have done hundreds oh hits with no success. If the formula was accurate (Damage = 2-9 + RND(27)), my odds would be around 17%. And my luck has been always higher than my level, which means I should be getting 5ish-9 from the mace and the odds should be even higher.

Don't forget their absorption stat!

If they have +3 absorption and a pet, it could mean your chance is 0.

More details needed! If they have 0 absorption, the formula must be wrong.

Absorption is 0. I only attack people with weapon and shield lvl 1. No pets.
The formula must be wrong.

The RND# is probably normally distributed. This explains the fact that an AAC increases the chance to hit harder, like luck does.

So, even though you probably have a chance of hitting those high figures, it is very unlikely you will. To work out the chance, you'd have to work out the mean and variance of your hits, which would let us construct a normal distribution curve for you. Your luck attribute would probably skew this, but it would be good enough. This goes on the assumption that the formula is as simple as weapon damage + strength skill which could very easily be wrong.

Honestly, I don't know. This information is something the developers made public a while ago. As the game changes over time, we can't be sure that it's still 100% accurate. Only the developers know for sure, and it is quite understandable if they don't want to make everything public.

About that essence, Phalanxii, it's supposed to lift off the curse from you and it protects you from being cursed again for the duration of the essence. At least that's what the Hungarian wiki says.

I also thought it could be NORM(ST) instead of RND (ST).
Anyway, I fully disagree with the hidden formulas. They should be public to allow the players to better develop their strategies.
