what is the weight requirement for heavyweight boxers? correct answer marked as over 205 lbs. but my understanding is that boxers are not _required_ to weigh over 205 in order to box in the heavyweight division. weighing over 205 simply means that they may not box in the division below heavyweight, light heavyweight. of note, most sources list the beginning of the heavyweight division at 200, not 205.
