What is another name for a Pepino fruit ?
Cantalope
Papaya
Honeydew
Treemelon <----- given as correct

It is known as pepino dulce ("sweet pepino") or simply pepino; the latter is also used for similar species such as "S. mucronatum" (which actually seems to belong in the related genus Lycianthes). The pepino dulce fruit resembles a melon (Cucumis melo) in color, and its' flavor recalls a succulent mixture of honeydew and cucumber, and thus it is also sometimes called pepino melon or melon pear, but pepinos are only very distantly related to melons and pears. Another common name, "tree melon", is more often used for the Papaya (Carica papaya) and the pepino dulce plant does generally not look much like a tree.

Which planet is the brightest object in the sky?
Venus
Jupiter <- marked as correct
Earth
Mars

That would be after the sun and the moon

One back at you, Martin. The sun and moon do not qualify as answers as the question specifies planets! Stars and satellites do not, therefore, qualify!

What boxer holds the record for youngest professional debut?
Teddy Baldock
Kid Laredo
Jack Dempsey
Baby Arizmendi

Some claimed that Baby Arizmendi was 10 BUT this is hard to prove.

The Ring magazine said that Baby Arizmendi was perhaps the youngest person ever to have become a professional boxer; he turned pro at the ripe old age of 13, although some swore he was only seven when he had his first pro fight. Others have him listed as 10.

I don't think anyone knows for sure but here's another list that I have:

Len Harvey 12 years 175 days, Pro Debut January 2, 1920
Teddy Baldock 12 years 298 days. Pro debut Mrach 14, 1921
Baby Arizmendi 13 years 208 days, Pro debut March 17, 1914
Rodolfo Gonzalez 13 years 336 days, Pro debut November 17, 1959

Also, Al Diamond out of Paterson New Jersey was just 13 when he started in 1927.

Which of these is not true about Norah Jones?
Her album Come Away with Me earned 5 Grammy Awards.
She is the daughter of Ravi Shankar.
She plays piano/keyboards and guitar.
She never played in any movie. <------ given as correct

Apart from being specialist and a "not true" style question she has appeared twice in movies.

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1289528/
Which makes the answer correct ("She never played in any movie" is false as she has played in at least two), but still not a good question in my oppinion. 1st: you have to know/research way to much about her for a 1:40/5 minute quiz. 2nd: "odd one out" questions of this type are never good questions, in my oppinion.

TY Martin. I hate when I realise how dumb I am! LOL However, for the reasons you give, it is a poor question!

None of these! G-20 stands for Group of 20. If the question asked 'who attends meetings of the G-20?' the answer above would be correct.

Which British city is bidding to stage the Commonwealth Games in 2014?
Edinburgh
London
Glasgow <--
Dublin

I think many a Scott would take offense to their largest city being called British. The question should really say Which UK (or United Kingdom) city. . .

Far more Scots would be offended by your spelling! (Scot NOT Scott). Scotland is as much a part of GB as UK. When Scot Alan Wells won Olympic Gold in Moscow as part of the GB team, I am sure we were all happy, Scots, Brits and residents of the UK!

When was Australia discovered?
in 1540
in 1893
in 1852
in 1606<--------- given as correct

Please remove this question as it has far to much colonial and rascist overtones. Australia's "discovery" by Western 'civilisation' does not mean it did not exist beforehand. It was discovered by the people of Australia on a daily basis for thousands of years before any white men happened to spot it by mistake.
Regardless of this, there is evidence of portugese having been there as early as 1520, which precedes any of the above answers.
"The first records of European mariners sailing into 'Australian' waters occurs around 1606" seems to be the source for the answer here but even that is not definite, hence the use of 'around'.
It is an imperialist attitude to suggest that countries do not exist until white people notice them. As such this question is very offensive and should be removed.
