DoomlordFos, it's been a while (years) since Beholder removed the ability to exchange BOAS for platinum. we can still use them for the mytokronit extractor though.

pyro666, extrapolating that i would keep attacking is incorrect. needing to stop my attacks is a false assumption (as they cause no harm). i did not say you said i was mad at your clanmate. you suggested there may be a personal motive like that, and i was confirming that there wasn't. while i think you are wrong about the frequency of my attacks, i have gone to lengths to say that i do not believe you are lying. i think my attacks left an outsized impression. as for events, there are many, and some are not on the same schedule (like The Search and Gods of Ghalla). so you may have not been in an event/task while i was.

pyro666, that's not an answer to my question. you don't own me one, but that kind of ends the possibility of talking this out. "daily" for two days, i'd believe. daily for a month? no, i've never done that with subplasmas. i did not attack you because i was mad at a clan member of yours. i don't even know your in-game name. i have never targeted new players; i target active players. active experienced players are preferred, but not required.

hjdrob180, it's frustrating, especially at your level. it took me a couple mini events to achieve the big rewards too.

pyro666, i have said the truth. you have the ability to bad mouth me and i can't prove my innocence because my logs go back like two days. if Beholder has older records, i'd like them released because that's the only way i can show you that i'm telling the truth. i can't be any more transparent.

pyro666, i give my consent to Beholder to release my attack logs.

POSEIDON22, zeus76, and Dionysos, as you are not much for nuance, i will be direct. it is legal, and i will hit you as much as i please. thus far, the answer is twice. is that clear enough?

pyro666, i think you are misremembering the frequency, like these other guys are with my TWO attacks.

pyro666, again, without specifics, it's hard for me to respond, but i have never used subplasmas regularly, so there must have been an event or task of some sort. i do not think you're lying, but i think either you are misremembering or didn't have all the information.

i've spent 2 weeks patiently responding to your complaints. i'm done.

Dionysos, my mistake was in trying to engage with you.

if there is no harm, then the point is moot. that is my ethical rule. all your clanmates had to do was ignore it. they could have spent the last 2 weeks chatting me up and asking for advice. they chose the adversarial path instead.

if i were running the game, i would not do it identically to the way Beholder does. i do not think the RotP subplasma task adds much value and it has historically created conflicts, which is why i have repeatedly suggested they remove it. i am not running the game, however. i am a player. as a player, i will work within their rules to my character's greatest benefit. and two weeks ago, i determined that that meant completing the subplasma task by first filling my torture chamber with active players.

beholder has rules for how much higher a player can be and still win SE, but at level 9, i had no chance against the higher level players who were attacking me. the only rule with subplasmas, i believe, is that they won't work below level 10. but since they do not result in any SE loss, they do not impact players' development regardless. if you would like the rule-of-use changed, make the suggestion. you will get a quicker response from the in-game help button than from the suggestions forum.

HADES22, ok, we agree it's allowed. and i don't mind if Beholder alters the rules-of-use. you're asking me an ethical question. my answer is that it's irrelevant since it causes no harm. it's a victimless crime. no harm; no foul. move on.

as for your clanmates, it seemed unnecessary to me for them to complain in the forum after speaking with me, but, sure, i don't have a problem with them posting here. i have a problem with them getting personal and carrying on for two weeks about two attacks that didn't even affect them. we have determined my use was legal, i have remained civil, and they were not harmed. what is left to debate? if they (or you) wish to suggest a rules change, i encourage it. that's a suggestion, not a complaint. i have made plenty of suggestions. i have made several about this very issue.

when i was level 9, subplasmas did not yet exist, but i had higher level players in a dominant clan farming me any time i carried SE. and yes, they coordinated their attacks. if one got SE, the others would follow. and i didn't like it, but that's the game. so i adapted. i didn't come to the forum and whine about it.

a little hard for me to address such a vague accusation, pyro666. subplasma use is not a regular part of my gameplay. i don't doubt that i've hit you at some point. it was certainly part of a task.

HADES22, those aren't the words i would choose. wrong? no, it's perfectly legal. i am using subplasmas as intended. i believe they don't work under level 10, but i haven't tried. it's frustrating to get attacked by stronger opponents, period. why is it worse to get hit for no SE from an opponent you can't beat than by an opponent closer in level you can't beat taking much SE, causing real damage, and knocking your pets unconscious?

it would be foolish for a high-level player to waste his subplasmas attacking low-level players regularly. but for the event, i had to use them on someone, and i chose active players for the torture chamber boost. i would have preferred mid-level, but i couldn't find enough that qualified. i also stopped as soon as i completed the task, which is what i told your clanmates when they messaged me. i attacked no one more than twice.

do i fault your clanmates for messaging me asking why they got hit? no, it's a social game, and that is a tool in the toolbox. do i fault them for throwing a tantrum over 2 weeks? yes. (to be clear, i do not include you in that. you and i are having a conversation. i get that you disagree with me, but you have not been throwing a fit. we are just hashing out our differences of opinion.)

i've been hit by stronger opponents before. when it becomes a pattern, i've messaged them. some have said they'd stop, some have said they won't stop, some have said nothing. i've insulted none of them. it's a player vs player game. impeding other players is legitimate strategy. subplasmas, it should be noted, do NOT impede other players. i've had stronger players farm me, and you know what? you won't find me complaining in the forum anywhere about that because that's part of the game.

HADES22, yes, my preference would be the higher level character. in selecting targets, i started my search at the top, but worked my way all the way down to your clan seeking active drag-able targets.

let's be candid. there is no player at level 9, 66, or 183 with a sporting chance against me atm. this isn't about having a chance to win. this is a pretend fight with no consequences to the target. why does your clan care so much about a fight that has no consequences?
