If the questions have to pertain to the series in general and not to specifics how does the foillowing question make it into this game...

What kind of car does Al Bundy Drive?
Pontiac
Chevrolet
Ford
Dodge

I know the series' Married with Children' and his car was never a focal point of the show and the show did not pertain to his car. So I ask you this, Why was this allowed if my question is rejected?

Quote from Stekkos
Petel, although is appreciated you try to answer, please do not respond in such a sarcastic way. Especially your last comment makes it sound as if you are an evaluator and you are telling the player evaluators do not care about the google remark, although you have nothing to do with evaluating.

Rok3269, google is not a factor in getting a question accepted. Evaluators follow a set of rules regarding what to accept and if a question satisfies them passes regardless of how easy is to google the answer.

Petel is an Azzwipe and I generally ignore people like that anyways.

As far as the 'google-ability' of a question in determining if it should be accepted, I believe that it should be a part of the consideration. The questions in this game which deal with predominitly (sp) European history ie., T.V., sports, pre-1900's battles, are among the toughest in the game because they are not always readily apparent to someone from the U.S., and even with Search Engines such as Google the answers are not easilt identified. This makes submitting questions extremely difficult, because the evaluators seem to readily accept European sports question but deny American ones, as well as making the game harder to play if you're not European, this can cause the questions seemingly to be biased towards European players.
I have a posting just above this that follows along the same lines, how am I expected to know the basics of a game and which characters are or are not in a game I have never played?
You can't say that it is easily answered by a google search, because that isn't part of what the evaluators look for in a question. My only answer would be that the Evaluator has more knowledge of the game and unless they play the game I don't see that happening, because that would be bias and unfair.

How does this question get allowed into the game;

Which of these characters does NOT appear in the game Diablo II ?
Sorceress
Barbarian
Paladin
Rogue *

When the question I asked which referenced the Harry Potter books & movies gets rejected. There is no way you can tell me that Diablo II has more popularity and a bigger following than the Hary Potter series of books & movies does.

My question was rejected on the basis of being special knowledge known only to a few and yet I have never played Diablo I or II but I am expected to know this. Why is that ?
Seriously how can anyone call this syustem of grading questions even remotely fair?

According to the Harry Potter Series, Wolfsbane Potion is a cure for what?

Prank induced warts
Vomiting slugs
Old age
Turning into a werewolf *

The question is valued as "Bad, incorrect question"!
According to evaluators only a special group of people might know the answer.

You have got to be kidding me.... this question is basic, and the movie series is not an American thing, the Harry Potter movies and global. Not only that but the question is easily Google-able, the answer comes up right away on the search page.

What has happened to the people that evaluate the questions?

The quality of the questions that I am seeing are, overall, becoming poorer & poorer.

Spelling mistakes, no grammer, no question marks at the end.
Some question I have to reread 2 or 3 times to understand what they are asking. Some are not questions at all, just open ended statements or statements with no purpose, ie: 'an article of clothing.' or 'a type of ship.'
Where is the grammer? where is the question? There are no Capital Letters, no question marks, and the spelling is not correct on all of them either, but I've had many questions rejected for improper spelling/punctuation.

I don't consider myself to be of more than average intelligence, welll, maybe a little more than average.
But I think the overall quality of the questions is becoming very poor. Their is a growing number of questions that cannot be easily googled for an answer because the answers must be researched.
And yet I remember reading in the forum that the best way to submit a question is to make sure it can be easily researched, ie: the answer comes o up in a google search results, not buried in the page which requires more time to find.

Overall this game, which I do so enjoy playing, is becoming less. By that I mean that I no longer answer questions because is disgusts me to see the quality of questions that have been accepted into the game. A mod wrote that there are roughly 3000 questions in the database and if the majority of them are like this, I don't want to be bothered with the whole quiz aspect of the game. if it worsens to the point that the gameplay begins to drop also, I will leave the game and move on to other games. Eventually if enough players do this, this game will cease to exist because nobody backs a loser for long.

Please try to put the game back to where it was, or there may not be a game for much longer.
Good luck & happy holidays

Ronaldo is known best for which sport?
soccer/football **
cricket
hockey
baseball

A google search turned up 3 different Ronaldo's on the first page and 1 was Female. this question should have more info. By more info I mean a full name. that is my opinion anyways. I went to basic training in the U.S. Army with 2 Ronaldos, 1 was a first name the other a last name, hows that for irony. and neither is the one mentioned in the question.

What was Dr. Dooms Real Name?

Franklin Richard
Hans Landa
Viktor von Fatalis *
Bridget von Hammersmark

His real name was Viktor Von Doom. I don'rt know where this name came from, when you do a google search the first 5 entries all say the same thing, Viktor Von Doom, of Latvia.

Which of the following conflicts (wars) were most recent?
The American Revolution (America v. Great Briton)
World War I (everyone across globe)
World War II (Axis v. Ally)
The Cold War (US v. Russia) *

The Cold War is not an actual war and as such should not be a valid answer. It wasn't even a conflict. There was no fighting between these 2 countries, no declared battle lines. The cold war was nothing more than a label given to the differences between 2 super power countries who disagreed on how they ran things. Communist vs. Capitalist. This answer should be allowed.

What do you call a metal cup used to spit in?

Spittun *
Cup
Bowl
Pot

The spelling is incorrect. according to wiki....
1. Spittoon - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A spittoon (or spitoon) is a receptacle made for spitting into, especially by users of chewing and dipping tobacco.

Please correct this.

Just saw this one...
Where do the Greek gods live?
In the Heaven
In the Hell
On the Neptunus
On the Olympus *

Now it may seem a small thing, but, there is no reason for this one to get past the evaluators.
'on the olympus', what is an olympus??? the correct answer is Mt. Olympus, which is, as the name implies, a mountain, ans they live at the top of it to be exact. Anything less, in my opinion, is totally unaceptable and should have never made it past the evaluators.

In Siberia a mammoth was found frozen in a glacier with a very interesting thing about it. What?
It had a half eaten fox in it's stomach
It had fresh grass in it's mouth <--
It had a collar on
It's eyes still responded to light

I couldn't find the answer to that for sure, it was a bit of a guess, so it might go down as specialist knowledge?

I remember watching the T.V. documentary about this baby mammoth. and it did indeed still have grass in it's mouth which was a huge thing for the scientists because their were seeds in the grass. however, to say that it had 'fresh' grass' in its mouth would be at the least inaccurate. The grass was from the time of the wolly mammoth, anything else would imply that the animal was recently deceased, which it was not.

Which of these animals has white fur?
Deer
Bison
Polar Bear *
Lion

Contrary to popular opinion, a Polar bears fur is actually clear, as stated in http://www.wisegeek.com/contest/what-color-is-polar-bear-fur.htm,
When looking at a polar bear, the first thing you may notice is their size or their thick white fur. Most people would find it absurd to say that the fur color would be anything except white. In truth, that fur you are seeing is actually clear! Much like snow, the fur just reflects the sunlight and looks white.
Their skin is actually black, weird huh?
I also found the same information on other websites too.

Who obtained the Nobel prize for Chemistry?
V. Havel
A. G. Bell
A. Nobel
J. Heyrovsky

How about a date here, huh ??? Give us something to go by!!
You cannot honestly expect us to believe that only 1 person has won the Nobel prize for chemistry in the history of the Nobel Prize!!!!!

The Evaluators, once again, need to get their collective heads out of their asses and do their jobs properly!!!!!!!
Dátum: 2010.09.22. 04:20:22
np, just wasn't sure is why I asked.
Dátum: 2010.09.22. 04:19:05
Is anybody bothering to check the actual questions anymore??? This is rediculous.

A Helter Skelter is a ?
a firemans tool
fair ground attraction* (fair ground should be spelled as 1 word Fairground Attraction)
a inuet house
a winter sport

Other than a Beatles Song, A Hostel in Central Berlin, and british slang for a childs slide, where do you get fair ground attraction??? I went through 2 pages of google results and couldn't get the answer the author marked as correct. Ferris Wheel, Merry-Go-Round, Bumper Cars... those are Fairground attractions, not a childrens slide.

I can remember when the Band Pink Floyd got taken to court over imporper usage of the english language for using the double negative; "we don't need no education." Maybe the evaluators should be taken to court for improper use of any language!!
But then again, this question, just like all the others will sit on the forum, maybe someone else will complain about it again in a few months and no one will do anything about it... just like all the other questions that are brought to this forum... oh, and by the way, thanx for setting up a place for everybody to bring forward found mistakes to try to improve the game, just so that they can be IGNORED !!!!! ... from now on I'll take the points and I urge everyone to do the same.... when there are no more questions they, the game mods, will have to do something to fix the problem, at least I hope they will.... eventually... in a century or 2.

and while I venting.... where's the grammar police??? only 1 answer starts with a capital?? I've had questions refused for that, why not this one???
I know my grammar sux... but hey!!! I'm bitching, it's allowed to suck!!!!

What is the only fish that can swim up a waterfall?
Eel
Tuna
Salmon *
Trout

I'll let u decide this one....
Salmon don't actually swim up waterfalls, no fish can at this time. What they do is dive, surge up, and jump out of the water which is where they get the forward progress, when they hit the water again they dive to escape the harsher current, the water at the bottom is not as rapid as the surface water, then surge back up and jump again moving forward with each leap.

I think a rewording at the least is needed.

I also think some admins for these questions that are based here in the U.S. would also be good.

Who won the football World Cup in 1934?
Uruguay
Italy*
Germany
Czechoslovakia

This should be reworded to 'Who won the FIFA world cup in 1934?' as Football is a totally different sport in the America. What this question refers to is known as Soccer here in the U.S.

Correct about the dual meaning of football but does the US actually have a football world cup? If i am correct is called Superball. Any thoughts Viridel?

Actually it's called the superbowl, and according to google the term football world cup is not used either, it is referred to as the FIFA world cup.

Which food item is the most expensive on earth?
Beluga Caviar*
Safron Spice
Truffles
something else

I don't remember all the choices for the answers but the correct answer as listed in the question is beluga caviar which isn't correct. I did a google search and no where did it say this in the results page. it did list saffron spice on the results page as the most expensive. which is what I chose for an answer only to get the question wrong. I thought the prupose of this was to get it from the listed results of say a google search???
