BabeTheOx: at the final calculation, we shall turbo your ultraspec and any important skill (squeezing etc), so you don't have to do it before getting the reward.
However, you are advised to turbo your spectral manipulation while killing the dracons (if not maxed already), it will increase your total SE income.

They probably save the SE you would make for every hunt and subtract the SE made from drakos on every fight.
For example, if you make an average of 2,000 SE per hunt and the drako gives you 1,000, the game will save 3,000 for each fight to give you at the end of the event.
And of course the 2,000 average considers SM, Trapping, Squeezing and Expert Hunt.

It is either this or something even better
They could also just save the number of hunts and calculate the payback at the end, when our levels will be higher.

Last Zarknod event, i know personally a player who got a +60 on all abilities. So stop worrying about formulas, just charge se and spend ap like crazy and you will not be dissapointed. Also, 4 essenses and 10 ducat potions so far are a great bonus

You said you get hunt SE - SE from dracos to increase the abilities. Why would we want to turbo spectral man.?

I.E.
a) 2000 - 300 from dracos with turbo = 1700 SE you will use to increase our abilities
b) 2000 - 200 from dracos with low spect.man ) 1800 SE you will use...

The SM is used to calculate the total SE gained, before subtracting the SE from dracos.

a) 2000 - 300 from dracos with turbo = 1700 SE you will use to increase our abilities
b) 1500* - 300 from dracos with low spect.man = 1200 SE you will use...

*Considering a 50 non-boosted SM.

I'm mostly guessing here but...

The amount of SE you get from a battle against the Dracon is modified by Spectral manipulation.
At the end of the Event you get an amount of SE to increase stats according to something like:
(Amount of AP spent)*(Hunt efficiency*)-(Amount of SE you *could* have gained from the Dracon battles)

The important part here is "could gain", i.e. instead of wasting a lot of space saving how much SE you gained the game just does a simple calculation in the end (# battles*(some factor)*Spectral man.). And this is probably the same if you did use SM or not during the battles, so if you didn't you loose out on that SE.
I hope that makes any sense (and is somewhat correct).

* Hunt efficiency is probably a factor of your Mind-boosted SM, Trapping, and Soul-energy squeezing

Well, if it works in this way, this makes sence, for sure. (I think we will never know the exact procedure, and maybe this is good )

Just a remark. There are already many parameters stored for everyone: SE spent, battles won, even battles won against each dragon breed... I don't think one extra figure will mean a lot of space, so probably SE gained is also stored somewhere... (I'm also guessing, of course)

You need to have SM boosted because every time you kill one draco, it is as if you had gone on 2 hunts. The game stores how much SE you would have made on those 2 hunts minus whatever the draco gave you.

Saphira this was the answer given to me, i have defeated 105 dragons so far with absolutely no luck in finding the half yearly auction ticket.
I already got transcendal projection relic from Zarknod event. So till now i got nothing and phase I of this event is about to end.
But compared to me your case is much worse.

It works like this:
Imagine a dice which have 1500 sides. If you roll equal or less than the dracons killed, after a fight, you find the artifact.
So not finding artifact after the first kill has a 1499/1500 = 99,9%
Not finding artifact from the first 2 kills has a 1499/1500 * 1498/1500 = 99,8%
from the first 3: 99,6%
from the first 4: 99,3%
etc.

For each artifact, there is a different number. 1500 is the number for the first artifact, for the auction ticket it might be 2000 or 2500. So if you killed already 200 there is 8-10% chance of finding it after each kill so you will find it soon.

eg 100k in 1 attack or 10k X 10 attacks

for the end result, i understand about finding relics biut wondering as far as stats reward at end which approach would be best

10K X 10 attacks is better since you will receive reward based on se and ap spend. 10 attacks is 20 ap, while the se is the same. Problem is, you will be running low on ap very soon if you just go that way. A better thing is to attack a lot until you get the relics, then switch to more se per attack, waiting for ap to regenerate and use them on the next phase of the event. In the final days use all ap and se you can to maximize rewards
