Topic: Joe Montana and similar questions

I know I don’t make a lot of friends with my remark upon this; …
Taking into account that questions would rather be global; man could claim that all those “Joe” questions aren’t but for the USA. How would you react when a Chinese was sending in a question of a local Mahjong player… Not accepted? Well… just give it a thought!

I know exactly what you mean Bartessica. Most sports, outside of the Olympics are not international, so sports gets a little more regional than most questions. They should not be as lexical as the last one I rejected, but it was decided long ago to allow it. By your example, a local mahjong player probably would not be accepted, but I would call it fair game to ask about one of the top Mahjong players in your country.

The biggest species of night monkeys are.......?

I didn't bother to fully research this question because I already saw that night monkeys refer to species in Central and South America and the answer marked is from Madagascar.

Doomlord forum -> Doomlord Game Forums -> Quiz -> Quiz evaluation rules and updates

3. History: Events from any part of the world are ok as long as they had a major impact at least on one nation or country. Inventions, wars, natural disasters, politics, anything is good as long as it follows that rule. Example of bad question: ""What year did the 12th president of X country died"" Dates should be widely spaced, so if something happened at 1809, put as answers at least (approximate suggestions)1830, 1809, 1821, 1789, not 1809, 1810, 1808,1807. The idea is that a player that has some idea of the event to make an educated guess, not scroll through google to find the date.

What is the UK’s most dialled telephone number?

The answer is not a telephone number, it's a calling code. Three answers (including the correct one) were only one number apart.

Must say though, leaned a new uk/us spelling issue today -- dialled vs. dialed.

The first stamps appeared in China in 1878. they had a picture of a ____ on the stamp.

Yes, the post office issued the first set of stamps in 1878, but the first stamps actually appeared in 1840 after the Opium War for use mainly with business exchanges.
