It's like that for everybody. Now that the categories of all of the old questions have been determined, when you hunt, you get a batch of old questions with the few new ones thrown in every now and then. The category of these new questions hasn't been determined yet ~ thus you have the option to categorize them.
Once the category of a question has been determined (whatever the specifics for how that is decided, but it's based, iirc, on the players categorizations), you can no longer categorize it.
I agree, it sucks (I started a char on W2 6 weeks ago, and would have liked to get the same 8 medals my other chars got) but I believe that is the way the system is intended to work.

I believe the formula is OK up to level-3.
Attacking level-4 yields 80% on your formula's SE, level-5 60%, etc ...

I think it's written when you choose the rewards. It's a least hinted at in the Misc/Map section :
The event will be repeated in a few months, so everyone will have the chance to compete for another soul-huckster for another price, or to upgrade the current to a more powerful one.
All prizes which are bronze/silver/gold/platinum do not stack with each other (although they do stack with other bonuses), only the best one counts.

To be honest, I have just started a character on W2, and starting again from scratch really sucks.
Being able to transfer a better, experienced Character would save me a lot of hassle ... that would definitely get me interested in W4.

Why has the categorization been randomly disappearing lately ?
When I start answering, it's there, then after a few questions it doesn't appear anymore, and sometimes it reappears again.
I find this particularly bothersome for my character on W2, because he's far from having the maximum quiz medals

You get 1 essence, +1 for each 20 complete levels of the pet.
Pet level 1-19 = 1 essence.
Pet level 20-39 = 2 essences.
Pet level 40-59 = 3 essences.
etc ....

Same here, on W1 and W2 : No AS, no presents.

According to evaluators only a special group of people might know the answer.
That's quite possible. However, I fail to see how it's more specialised than a question about an obscure duel in 19th century England. At any rate, it's just as easy to google the answers.

It would be nice to have an official confirmation of this, especially considering there are many reasons to justify doing so.

I know that you can hit up, not only one lvl but after every "win" the next lvl. I am objecting because there is no players in that range so there are 2 xenos that will not get attacked and prison will not be built at all, which means lot harder to accomplish the task.
... and it looks like we'll miss the mark because of those 2 extra Xenos. Seriously, with 2 HP bars (fully healed + magical regen), I can only take out 1% of the level 115 Xeno ... not far from useless.
During that time, the lower-level Xenos are not being attacked ... the level 5, 15, and 25 are all above 80% HP.
Needless to say, given the effort I've put into the event, I find the situation to be somewhat frustrating.

Most building: medal of doom (+ building, -1 sec to hunt)
