Word 4 Launched! (2011-05-17)
War of the hucksters results World 4 of the Doomlord online game has started! Register now and compete on this new world from the very beginning. Become the most powerful Doomlord or Doomlady! See more details HERE, on the forum

There are a few problems with this announcement. First, the announcement itself: WORD 4 Launched! -there is no 'L' in WORLD.
Second, the first sentence would be better structured if it said "World 4 of the ONLINE GAME Doomlord has started!"

Hi, I bought ancient stones last night on my Pay Pal account, but they have not shown up yet. How long does it usually take between the time of purchase and stones being useful to my avatar.
I found the cause and am posting in case others do this. My PP acct was new and I had not set it up to automatically divert money, so it was on hold for 7 days. Be sure you set that up right, or that new weapon will have to wait!!

I'd like to be reinstated in my ability to make up questions. I understand they may be rejected again, but most of mine have been dismissed for bad spelling/grammar/and ambiguity. Most often my spelling and grammar are not incorrect; so I don't know the 'real' reason for rejection, nor do I know the proper place for this post.
My spelling and grammar are better than most of the chapters written for us in this game. I recognize the difficulty the moderators must have in deciding on 'correctness'. For instance, I'm an American from the US, where Sesame Street originated, yet I just learned from reading these posts that Big Bird is not yellow all over the world and that the term Disneyland not only refers to the original Disneyland in Anaheim Ca., but is also in Paris, Tokyo, and a couple of other countries. I'm guessing it is natural for citizens of countries where something originates from to think they 'know' the correct answer, even if out of good old fashioned conceit.
I find myself frustrated with the process because I always Google my question before I post it, and if the answer isn't quickly clear, I don't post it. I have voted on the Googleability factor and yet have no idea what the Powers That Be have decided on.
Help, help!

I've been banned from writing quiz questions, but I'd really like another shot at it. I was googling my answers and thought I was asking good questions, but they were deemed misspelled, arbitrary, or some other rather abstract reason, which I think may mean they were already in the database or something, but they weren't really mis-spelled or grammatically bad. I keep reading the rules, and I'm trying to follow them and would like to continue to try. Thanks for your consideration.

"A rose by any other name would......" How does this phrase end?

kick like a mule.
still smell the same.
fall apart and that's lame.
be a cheap gift without the other 11.

The phrase does not end with any of these choices. BAD research on the poster and the evaluator. This is terrible.

Who best known for his role as Ricky Ricardo on the classic American TV series I Love Lucy, starring with Lucille Ball, to whom he was married?

John Murray Anderson
Alberto de Acha
Desi Arnaz
Gerardo Machado

Desi Arnaz, who played Ricky Ricardo was married to Lucille Ball.... The question doesn't match the answers!! Please delete this silly question, I can't believe this was approved by 'those who approve'.
I have been rejected so many times for 'ambiguity' or a 'misspelled' word -of which there were nont- etc... so how does one this goofy get by? I want to be part of the evaluation team. Can I?

The question/response from evaluators below are in the wrong order. The first evaluation said that I had misspelled, which I had, so I fixed that. Now an evaluator has decided that it is ambiguous. It seems terribly unfair to do what an evaluator suggests and correct your mistakes only to then be told it is ambiguous. I am really trying hard to follow the rules regarding quiz question writing, yet I see so many questions that are horribly written. I'm glad you are cleaning up, but it seems you can't please anyone. Suggestions?
