The whole point of things like 1 quiz question = 2 answers is so that it makes the quiz faster. If you purchase the option, you will definitely not suffer. In fact, your overall quiz question success rate should improve, since you have more time to spend on each question so more time to get it right.

If you hunt 100 times, and answer 100 questions, you might get 80/100 right. If you had that acceleration option with the copper key of knowledge, and you hunt 400 time, answering 100 questions, you will still get 80/100 (or more) right.

So, buying this is a comfort function (though I'm not sure on the steep cost of soul diamonds required) makes perfect sense if you're struggling to find the time to play the game (I spend more time answering questions than anything else!)

And I agree - It is definitely a convenient thing. But I repeat my concern that after buying this, a bad quiz question HURTS more than before. Sometimes you can research an answer all you want - but if it's wrong or ambiguous, it's not going to help. That's where the 3/1 thing comes in with the Key relic. If you're right on a quiz question, you get +1 bonus (giving credit for three hunts instead of two). If you get a question wrong, you get a -1 bonus (penalizing for only one hunt instead of two). The relic is designed to give a "2 hunt bonus", but ultimately there is no bonus - anyone playing with Stones can afford the extra few minutes to look up an extra 12 questions (50 Hunts, divided by 2 for Acceleration = 25, halved because of the key is 12.5) once every 3+ hours. And yes, the cost is very high for an item that gives no legitimate in-game benefit.

It should be that this item makes a bad answer hurt less, not more.

Phaedrus, Technically you are right but the main people ruling the empires are often and without objection used as a reference to the empire itself. I have seen many times the answer to the question "What was the empire that streched from Britain to Persian Gulf called" being the Romans.

What is mimicry?
Nickname for Mimi Rogers
It's an insect that looks like mantis
Ability to blend in to ones surroundings <- marked as correct
Synonim for cry-baby

That's not the correct answer, mimicry is the similarity of one species to another which protects one or both, and has nothing to do with blending in with ones surroundings, that would be camouflage.

Cobras can do something remarkable with their venom. What?
They can spit it at someones eyes to blind them <- marked as correct
They feed their young with it
They can heat it up to cause more damage
They can use it to heal themselves

Not all cobras can do that, that would be the spitting cobras.

Who invented the zipper?
Thomas Edison
Whitcomb Judson *
Johannes Gutenberg
Alfred Nobel

This is an interesting one when I googled the question I found that there are actually two inventors listed, Elias Howe in 1851 and Whitcomb Judson 1893. In 1911 Gideon Sundback designed what is now recognised as the zipper.

When was the first smiley - like this :-) set?
1978
1986
1982
1988

But from WikiPedia: Later on, in 1963, freelance artist Harvey Ball further popularized the smiley face in an advertising campaign by The State Mutual Life Assurance Company of Worcester, Massachusetts, USA. Harvey's version is the iconic smiley with the half-circle mouth and two oval dots for eyes inside of a black circle printed on a yellow background.

One dog year equals how many human years?
5
7
6
8

This is still here? Until anyone shows me a dog born in 2000 that is now 70 years old it should go. Dogs and humans age at exactly the same rate. Dogs have shorter life spans, that is all.

Would it be acceptable to ask a question about a house fly having a year equalling 1050 human years? NO. So take this nonsense off please.

Who won the Greek War between Sparta and Athens?
Persia
Sparta
Thebes <- marked as correct.
Athens
It is true that Thebes eventually defeated Sparta in 371 BC, but by then the war between Athens and Sparta was long over (it ended in 404 BC with a victory to the Peloponnesian League, of which Sparta was a leading power).

Who built the Agra Fort?
Humayun.
Jehangir.
Akbar. <- Marked as correct
Shah Jahan.
Akbar rebuilt the fort in 1565-1573, but it is known to have existed as far back as 1080 AD when it was captured by a Ghanznavide force.

Edit: corrected minor typo.

There is in fact a type of quartz called ruby quartz, and as two of the possible answers are Milky and Smoky, it must be assumed the "Ruby" option can refer to "Ruby quartz" http://jewelry.lovetoknow.com/What_is_Ruby_Quartz

Mathematics <-- right
Paleontology

Physics

Is mathematics even a science? It's misleading, since pythagorean theorem is used a lot in mechanics which is both a branch of physics and mathematics. Badly needs a delete.

1900s
1870s
1850s <- marked as correct

From the sources I have been able to find they were invented/patented in 1873
From the Official Levis Straus & Co. website

According to most recent studies, what is considered to be the world's hottest chili pepper?
Bhut Jolokia * <- outdated
Habanero Pepper
Datil Pepper
Red Savina Habanero Pepper

This shows why a date is important on these questions. On December the 3rd Yahoo News published this: "Yes, the Naga Viper, the latest claimant to the world's-hottest-pepper crown, outdistances its predecessor, the Bhut Jolokia, or "ghost chili," by more than 300,000 points on the famous Scoville scale of tongue-scorching chili hotness."

In the poem, the Odyssey, Charybdis is a?

monster with 3 heads
monster who drank a lot and creating whirlpools <-- correct
monster with bad breath
monster with one eye

Apart from the lack of proper english sentences, the correct answer is not even grammatically sound.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charybdis
"In Greek mythology, Charybdis or Kharybdis (pronounced /kəˈrɪbdɨs/; in Greek, Χάρυβδις) was a sea monster, once a beautiful naiad and the daughter of Poseidon and Gaia. She takes form as a huge bladder of a creature whose face was all mouth and whose arms and legs were flippers and who swallows huge amounts of water three times a day before belching them back out again, creating whirlpools. In some variations of the tale, Charybdis is just a large whirlpool rather than a sea monster."

Interesting question, but needs rewriting...
