I encountered the following:

How many amendments does the US constitution have?
A) 5
B) 10 (supposedly correct)
C) 15
D) 20

The correct answer is 27 (as of date of this post). They may be confusing the first 10 which are collectively refereed to as the Bill of Right. The question however does not list the correct answer nor does it have a date for reference.

The king cobra is the deadliest snake and can kill a human in 2 minutes. What makes it so deadly?
Its venom contains the most toxic substance in the world
It bites again and again till its victim is dead <- this answer could also be regarded as correct.
It is mainly fear that kills its victim
Its bite contains a greater quantity of venom <- marked as correct

Quote from the wikipedia: "The king cobra may deliver multiple bites in a single attack, or bite and hold on."

Tyre should be spelled with a 'y'

Tire should be spelled with an 'i'

I tire of people who do not know how to spell tyre.

Ha! Use an American publication to laugh at English spelling? That would be like the USA asking Japan to tell them how to play Baseball!

The English language developed in England and the poor souls who landed at Plymouth Rock took their version with them which was gradually changed over the years. I love how Americans glory in their spelling mistakes! ;p

I'm not american, I'm portuguese and I have the same dilemma with portuguese from Portugal and portuguese from Brazil.

I accept both forms as both are correct to me in the context of each country and according to the grammar and writers of each country (which, in the end, defines a language).

Also no one is laughing I think. Just trying to understand the history and the whys behind each one.

Q: Which animal has caused the most human deaths worldwide?

The options were Horse, Elephant, Dog, and Mosquito. After choosing an apparently wrong answer, it listed that Mosquito was the correct choice. A mosquito is not an animal! It's an insect, a very different species! This question is badly worded!

Should be rephrased: Which is the largest island on Earth that is not also a continent. The answer to this particular question is Australia, which is not in the list of answers.

Thanks!

"A rose by any other name would......" How does this phrase end?

kick like a mule.
still smell the same.
fall apart and that's lame.
be a cheap gift without the other 11.

The phrase does not end with any of these choices. BAD research on the poster and the evaluator. This is terrible.

How old was Jesus when he was crucified?
30
33 <-- Marked as correct
23
43

The age commonly given is 33 years, but we donĀ“t know for sure. The exact year Jesus was born is not known, although the year of his death is. A rewording of the question would be in place.
(And once again one wonders how these things pass through the reviewers)

Who was the NBA player to score 99 points in a game ?
Joe Franks
Tom Walsh
Wilt Chamberlin <- marked as correct.
Lucky Stevens

According to the sources I have fount it was 100 points in a game on March 2, 1962, but he might also have scored 99, if the last goal was a 1-point score.
