Dude I personally am familiar with Epic of Gilgamesh but I doubt that even 5% of people would have any idea what is it. I have just asked my girlfriend and she has no idea what is it. This is not something that you learn at school and you are asking a detailed question. If you have asked what actually is Epic of Gilgamesh than the question might have been accepted but otherwise I have to agree with the evaluator.
Besides if we talk about epic poems, Beowulf is better

I would not have asked it if there was not aready a much harder (IMHO) question on the Epic.

That other question came up when I was hunting - so I assumed that the evaluators had decided that questions on the Epic were alright. Asking a question about the name of one of the more important characters seemed to me to be more reasonable that the qustion that is already in the data base asking what percentage of divinity was Gilgamesh - a question with answers like 1/3 divine, 1/2 Divine, 2/3 Divine or fully human.

If that question is considered acceptable I do not understand why mine is not - that is the question I am asking here. I would never have thought of asking a question on this topic if there were not already questions about it in the database....

In the Epic of Gilgamesh who does the main hero go to meet after the death of Enkidu?

I had to read through most of the story to find this detail, it is not general trivia for it.

I disagree.

Utnapishtim is one of the primary characters in the Epic. He is the immortal hero that Gilgamesh goes to see in search of eternal life.

If a question is allowed asking what percentage divine Gilgamesh is why is this one not allowed?

Wiki Artical

The Epic of Gilgamesh is epic poetry from Mesopotamia and is among the earliest known works of literature. Scholars believe that it originated as a series of Sumerian legends and poems about the protagonist of the story, Gilgamesh, which were fashioned into a longer Akkadian epic much later. The most complete version existing today is preserved on 12 clay tablets from the library collection of 7th-century BC Assyrian king Ashurbanipal. It was originally titled He who Saw the Deep (Sha naqba īmuru) or Surpassing All Other Kings (Shūtur eli sharrī).

The story revolves around a relationship between Gilgamesh (probably a real ruler in the late Early Dynastic II period ca. 27th century BC)[1] and his close companion, Enkidu. Enkidu is a wild man created by the gods as Gilgamesh's equal to distract him from oppressing the citizens of Uruk. Together they undertake dangerous quests that incur the displeasure of the gods. Firstly, they journey to the Cedar Mountain to defeat Humbaba, its monstrous guardian. Later they kill the Bull of Heaven that the goddess Ishtar has sent to punish Gilgamesh for spurning her advances.

The latter part of the epic focuses on Gilgamesh's distressed reaction to Enkidu's death, which takes the form of a quest for immortality. Gilgamesh attempts to learn the secret of eternal life by undertaking a long and perilous journey to meet the immortal flood hero, Utnapishtim. Ultimately the poignant words addressed to Gilgamesh in the midst of his quest foreshadow the end result: "The life that you are seeking you will never find. When the gods created man they allotted to him death, but life they retained in their own keeping." Gilgamesh, however, was celebrated by posterity for his building achievements, and for bringing back long-lost cultic knowledge to Uruk as a result of his meeting with Utnapishtim. The story is widely read in translation, and the protagonist, Gilgamesh, has become an icon of popular culture.

Ok - I really do not understand the way this works.

I just got asked a quite hard question about Gilgamesh (What percentage 'divine' was he) so as my question I offered an easier to answer question on the same topic. I even made the answers quite obvious as to which it should be ie

In the Epic of Gilgamesh who does the main hero go to meet after the death of Enkidu?

Utnapishtim <-----------
Merlin
Manannán mac Lir
Zeus

The question is valued as "Bad, incorrect question"!
According to evaluators only a special group of people might know the answer.

Utnapishtim is one of the three main characters in the epic - I am not asking detailed knowledge about him like the question that was accepted and which I got asked. How can they allow a harder question about the same topic and then refuse mine? Should there not be some consistancy?

You need trapping and then to have some good luck on hunts. I have trapping at 3 and have a pet.

Hum can I guess which game I wonder......
Dátum: 2010.12.22. 16:17:41
Yes - but I have to wait two levels before I can do any quests as I have done every other quest that I have been offered....
Dátum: 2010.12.22. 14:26:07
Sorry if it has been said before.

I currently have a choice of three Quests - all of which require me to be at least 2 levels higher than I currently am. (they are all vist the X quests).

Is it possible that there could be more alternative quests to avoid this happeneing? and /or that the quests on offer re -randomize once a day?

Who is the English physicist responsible for the 'Big Bang Theory'?
Albert Einstein
Roger Penrose
George Gamow
Michael Skube

A) Gamow was Russian
B) Gamow's work provided support for the Big Bang theory, but he is nowhere near responsible for it.

You could count him as an American - as that was his adopted country - but in any case still not English.

I think an undeniable fact is that the Isle of Man is not a member of the United Nations, therefore cannot be considered anything more than a territory or a principality.

As a Manxman I refute your disparaging my native land

Well, by all the authority I am able to acquire:
I hereby invite the prestigious [circle one] (territory / principality / state / dominion / other) of the ___Isle of Man_____ into the community of the United Nations.

(Just so there's no confusion, I'm just having fun here - in no way am I intending to insult or make fun of you or the several other people pf permanent residence on the splendid Isle of Man)

I hope no question refers to Scotland, England, Wales or Northern Island as countries then - we have far more local authority than any of them....

Ok - dropped that quest - not going to wait 6 levels to be able to complete it

My approved questions so far...

Who Commanded the British 8th Army at the First Battle of El Alamein? 11.11% Come on guys its not that hard....
Which author wrote the Cadfael books? 63.33%
During World War 2 the British ‘Twenty’ Committee was responsible for which of the following? 33.33%

I must say I am supprised at how low some of those numbers are. I guess we all assume that other people know the things we know...

Legolas the Elf
Gimli the Dwarf
Gandalf the Maia <---------

I must say I am supprised - I would have expected over 50% of people to have got this right even if they were guessing. A quick google search on 'Gandalf the Maia' shows he is an immortal spirit rather than a human...
