Championships are organized once a month. To enter a championship, your level must be minimum 8.
1. You can enter the Championship in the left hand menu, under the Misc menu. Choose Championship and you will be transferred to the page where you can enter the championship or view previous results.
2. You can enter the championship until MIDNIGHT the day before it takes place AT THE LATEST. So if the next championship is on 4 November, Tuesday, then the deadline is 23:59 Monday.
3. When entering the championship your character sheet (ability scores, equipment, level) is saved. However your HP and SP will be at their maximum, so you don’t have to worry about them. You will take part in the championship with these parameters, even if you improve them before the race. You can enter each championship only ONCE so take care to choose the proper time and don’t keep putting it off till the last minute because you might be late. Please double-check that your pet(s) is able to fight before entering. If you miss the championship, we can do nothing to help so please don’t ask us to.
4. According to the rules you can enter the championship when you hit level 10, but as we are being kind-hearted we let level 8 players join so more people can take part.
5. During the championship players are divided into categories. In the first championship every level will qualify as a category, except the top two levels, which belong to the top category.
6. It is a SINGLE ELIMINATION championship, which means that everyone is paired with an opponent and they play a simple duel. The loser is eliminated and the winner gets a new opponent. It is a simple system and makes it irrelevant who would have placed 2nd, 3rd. Only the first counts, who has been able to defeat everyone and he gets the medal (let it be a surprise for you what it is capable of).
7. You start every round at maximum HP and SP and can take your pet if it was fighting when you entered. Ramparts and Training grounds count for both players, as there is no attacker/defender here. Of course Luck also counts here like in a normal duel, the stronger have a better chance, but weaker characters may also be lucky, so it is worth entering for everyone.
8. After the championship has ended the results are displayed in the same place you entered and you can check the battles at the previous battles as well. No change from championship battles (Losing HP, SP, getting XP, pet gaining level) is transferred to your actual character. You can also see the winner of the tournament here. Every category has a winner. You can check the winners of other categories at the Event – World events menu point after the championship.

12-19: Every 2 level has a category. So 12-13, 14-15, 16-17 and 18-19.
20-34: Every 3 level. 20-22, 23-25, 26-28, 29-31 and 32-34.
35-46: Every 4 level. 35-38, 39-42, 43-46.
47-61: Every 5 level. 47-51, 52-56, 57-61.
62-79: Every 6 level. 62-67, 68-73, 74-79.

Another world(s) will be started in the future so that you will have the chance to start new characters.
Why cannot you have more than one character?
The reason is simple. Imagine that one starts two characters, the first only collects SE and the second “farms” the first one thus getting unfair advantage over the others. As it is basically a free game it costs nothing to start additional characters but this would spoil honest players’ game.

Ever event in the game is recorded in the log files. These log files are analyzed by programs, which monitor a lot of factors, but most importantly character actions, habits and behaviour. It is a partly automatic system, using heuristic methods, so it cannot be perfect, so we always check suspicious cases manually before deciding about what action to take.
Consequences of having multiple characters
In these cases the first step is temporary suspension (usually 3 days), during which the player cannot log in and no AP is regenerated. In minor cases we just ask the player to delete the additional characters within 1 day. If the player continues to have multiple characters despite the suspension/warning, he might face permanent ban.
What if I feel I got an unfair punishment?
You can always send us an e-mail and ask for the reasons. Since we do not want to harass any players unnecessarily if you got the punishment there was a good reason. You can always use the Complaints topic – Unjust bans - to forward your view as well. Please don’t use other topic for this purpose because your messages will be deleted.
What if we play from the same computer?
Generally, we examine the conduct and relation between the characters but in suspicious cases we might check the data about the computers as well. If you play from the same computer, don’t attack each other, don’t always attack the same players and preferably join different clans. In this case there will be no problem.

Quiz: the aspects of evaluation
To our greatest pleasure the quiz has grown into a game-in-a-game and has at least as many questions as the framework game. Here you can find information about how the questions are evaluated.
The primary goal of the quiz is to ask questions that can be answered by an educated, intelligent person. Almost everyone. You don’t need specialized knowledge. Of course, one can say you can google most answers in a minute but we don’t really want questions that can only be answered by using a search engine. Some of the questions should make you think, make you rule out answers you that you will have an idea which answer to choose.
The most “convenient” general knowledge topics:
- Elementary school general knowledge questions. It might sound silly, but everybody learned about these, so no one can say they are specialized
- General knowledge, outside school questions, such as, films, famous people, rock bands, buildings etc.
- Current issues. These are a bit more complicated as questions become out-of-date in a few years, but there are still a lot of current topics worth asking a question about.
- Mind twisters. Even though not general knowledge questions, these still qualify as they do not require knowledge but simple brainwork. Please don’t write questions that require a calculator or equations.
- Linguistic questions. Spelling.
Bad questions:
First of all, it is important to highlight that even though a question might be accepted by the players it can still be disqualified by the admins later. There may be several reasons for this:
- Questions with a lot of spelling mistakes are rejected at once. It is simply impossible to correct each and every answer and we cannot run a spellchecker on the server for the time being. If you are unsure, please use a word processor to check the spelling. And please use the question mark at the end of the question.
-Questions that require a very special expertise for which an average person cannot know the answer. Many make the mistake of asking such questions. Don’t ask questions about games, hobbies, comic books, professions that can be only answered by someone who has years of experience in them.
-Lexical knowledge. Some questions about dates are acceptable, but only those that belong to the first category. Everyone should know the dates of the World Wars but not when a celebrity bought her first bicycle. What’s more, if you ask for a date, it is much more civilized to leave a bigger gap between the dates, than having 1 day between the four dates. In my personal opinion, the most acceptable method is to list four events and ask which one happened first or last.
- Extremely difficult questions are not good either. If you ask a question for which an average person might know the answer and you give four almost identical choices he will most certainly choose the wrong one. Please note that if 75% or more of the answers are incorrect the system will automatically disqualify the question. The purpose of this method is also to filter the correct questions where four good alternatives are listed but the person who asked the question selected the incorrect answer. If you ask a question that is already in our database, the question will be evaluated as wrong, but you will have the option to replace it with another without any penalty. But anyway, try to avoid asking trivial questions, e.g. When did WWI start?
- Odd-one-out questions and questions about capitals are filtered. We have enough questions about capitals, thank you very much. Odd-one-out questions are always ambiguous, because any of the answers can be accepted from a certain perspective. Getting back to filtering, if your question is rejected, please don’t submit it again using spelling mistakes, because it will be rejected as well. Please accept that the system will not accept it. And please also note that any questions containing vulgar/offensive words are also rejected.
- Maths. How much is (1+5)*3? Which is more, (4+3)*2 or (17/2-1)? Questions that require logic are OK, but trivial questions and equations that require a calculator are not.
- Foreign languages. You can ask what a certain famous thing was named after but you should not ask for plain translation of different words.
Questions to be deleted:
Simply put, when the player asks a question with the intention of submitting a correct one but he does not manage to, the question is evaluated as “wrong”. The “to be deleted” tag is given to those question which are incorrect on purpose. Examples are trivial questions, violating the netiquette or those that cannot be answered: What colour is the sky? Which Albanian folk band has not released an album? What colour was Amy Whitehouse’s hair in 2006? and so on.
Of course you can ask questions about Doomlord as well, but only ask questions that do not require the character to be high level and any player can answer, as a level 2 might also get the question: What skill does learning level 14 give? or What is the protection of the Nerubian robe? and won’t be able to answer.
Some examples for good and bad questions (please don’t submit them!)
‘How many members did the Beatles have?’
Although it is a bit trivial, still a good question, because everyone should know the band.
‘Which was the third album of the Australian Pigmies?
No one has ever heard of them, much less of their albums. Bad question.
Too special questions:
‘What is the width of the standard rails?‘
‘Who is the brother of the cartoon hero Glacius?’
‘What is the average wingspan of the Eastern mating mantis?’

The difficulty is OK, but it is based on visual deception (q an g being similar) and contains a spelling mistake, calice instead of chalice. Bad question.
‘How old is the oldest woman on earth?’
There might be up-to-date information that becomes invalid in a month, should she die or become a year older. Try to avoid questions that might become out-of-date.
Of course we don’t expect anyone to submit correct questions all the time - I have also written questions that I would reject today. If 50% of your questions are rejected you get a warning and if this ration persists, you will lose the chance to ask questions. Also you can get the evaluation ‘to be deleted’ maximum three times. After the third occasion you will lose the opportunity to submit further questions permanently.
This is not a penalty, the SE reward is not significant. There are players who simply are unable to ask correct questions. That is all OK, they can still enjoy the other parts of the game.
Evaluators are also evaluated both automatically and manually. The aim is to let those players evaluate questions who give a realistic assessment. There is no penalty for “bad evaluation” you simply won’t be asked to evaluate further questions, however some system for a reward is on the planning table good assessors.
Note that now you have to option to choose the reason why the question was rejected. This way the player who asked the question will have some idea about what he had done wrong.

It is most frustrating if someone has a username and a password and is still unable to log in the game or forums (thus cannot ask for assistance). Here you can find some possible solutions.
If you registered for the game, you received an e-mail with an activation link. If you didn’t receive the e-mail, you might have mistyped your e-mail address or possibly, your mailer program mistook the message for a spam. So first, check your spam folder. Then you can try modifying your registration, correcting your e-mail address and ask for a new activation message. If you are unable to proceed, get in touch with us (Help button) and if all else fail we will activate your character manually.
If you have activated your registration but you still cannot log in:
1. When entering your password check the CAPS LOCK button.
2. Many browsers have an auto-complete function. which might have provided an incorrect password if you use the same username elsewhere. Try deleting and retyping your password.
3. Check the date and the time in your system settings. Allow cookies in the browser.

What should you do if you are attacked too many times?
There is a lot of help inside the game to assist novice players; there are a lot of topics in the forums as well about this topic. However it is worth summarizing this information here. Well, as far as you are able to find this topic...
It might be the case that someone feels that he is attacked too many times by players stronger than him and they steal his SE, keep his HP down so he cannot get ahead. What can you do in this case? Fortunately, there are a lot of options, just read this topic carefully.
1. If a player decides to attack another one, he usually takes two points into consideration: the equipment and the sum of the ability scores.
1.1. It is quite easy to increase your ability scores. Click on the character sheet in the main menu. Beside your ability scores you can see a grey or green cross. If you click on a green cross, you can increase the ability score. A grey cross means that you do not have sufficient SE (so you have to go hunting). An important notice: the lower the ability score, the easier it is to increase it! So it requires much less SE to increase each ability score from 20 to 21 than to increase one from 26 to 27. If many players attack you, always increase your lowest ability score making the sum of your ability scores higher thus making other players ignore you when choosing a victim. Although Attack is more useful than Magic, but if you increase Magic as well, other players will think you are stronger and will not attack you.
On the other hand, if you spend all your SE to build in a clan, you will not be able to increase you ability scores, everyone will see that you are weak, and players will keep attacking you. If you click on the Highscores, you can check other players of your level. If their ability score sum is significantly higher than yours, concentrate on increasing it.
1.2 The other important aspect is the equipment. If someone misses a part of their equipment, especially if it is the spell, they are attacked more frequently. If you are saving a lot of SE for a new item, check your character after hunting, because if you leave a lot of SE at the character for 1-2 days, quite a lot will be stolen from him. So choose a time carefully, so that you can check your character after the hunt. Don’t save SE for an item until you have increased you ability scores to the amount appropriate for your level.

2. How can I save SE for a new item?
The most common reason for a player to feel frustrated is when he is collecting SE for a new item and he is often robbed. There are several ways to avoid this:
2.1 As I mentioned above, try to accumulate a lot of APs and spend them all at once.
2.2 If you replace an older item (except weapons) then you can sell your previous item as well before buying the new one (though only for 25% of the original cost).
2.3 A crucial trick: if you HP is under 15%, you cannot be attacked! If you are saving for, say an item worth 1500 SE and you already have 3-400 SE it is worth attacking someone so that your life decreases (even to 1). You lose a little SE, but then you can save the remaining SE in safety.
2.4. If you are in a clan, ask the other members to give you a hand. Players who are assisted are usually not attacked. The button for assistance can be found on the main page of the clan, on the right hand side.
3. Invisibility
Invisibility is the final resort if all else fails and it is also the method for players who prefer a peaceful game style. On your character sheet you can find a button called Invisibility. If you click on it, you will get to the description part from where you can activate it.
If you decide to become invisible, you can still be attacked, but you will get bonuses that make it almost certain that you win the duel. Consequently, invisible characters are usually not attacked; it is almost as good as total invincibility. Anyway, if you are invisible, you should still increase your ability scores and purchase items to make you a less appealing opponent.
Invisibility has two major disadvantages. For one thing, you cannot attack other characters either. For another, you get less SE and XP when hunting, so you will advance less rapidly. Of course this does not necessarily qualifies as a disadvantage, because those players who kept attacking will get ahead and will not be able to attack you because of the level difference. Please note that the minimum duration of invisibility is 24 hours.
4. Resting
Don’t forget about resting (check the button on the left side). When resting you regenerate much faster and you get 10% defense as well. This does not mean a lot (+2-3% chance of winning) but at least it is something. Try to use resting 3 times a day. If you are not hunting and you miss some HPs, click on it.
5. Protection potion
The soul-huckster sells protection potions under the misc. category. Protection potions significantly increase your chance of winning when attacked by a more powerful opponent. And it has no hindrance like the invisibility has. However, it has a cost.
There is a lot of help inside the game to assist novice players; there are a lot of topics in the forums as well about this topic. However it is worth summarizing this information here. Well, as far as you are able to find this topic...
It might be the case that someone feels that he is attacked too many times by players stronger than him and they steal his SE, keep his HP down so he cannot get ahead. What can you do in this case? Fortunately, there are a lot of options, just read this topic carefully.
1. If a player decides to attack another one, he usually takes two points into consideration: the equipment and the sum of the ability scores.
1.1. It is quite easy to increase your ability scores. Click on the character sheet in the main menu. Beside your ability scores you can see a grey or green cross. If you click on a green cross, you can increase the ability score. A grey cross means that you do not have sufficient SE (so you have to go hunting). An important notice: the lower the ability score, the easier it is to increase it! So it requires much less SE to increase each ability score from 20 to 21 than to increase one from 26 to 27. If many players attack you, always increase your lowest ability score making the sum of your ability scores higher thus making other players ignore you when choosing a victim. Although Attack is more useful than Magic, but if you increase Magic as well, other players will think you are stronger and will not attack you.
On the other hand, if you spend all your SE to build in a clan, you will not be able to increase you ability scores, everyone will see that you are weak, and players will keep attacking you. If you click on the Highscores, you can check other players of your level. If their ability score sum is significantly higher than yours, concentrate on increasing it.

Yes, hunting does not happen on your PC but on the server. Your PC only displays the result.

No, you don’t. It is refunded.
I have purchased premium membership but I didn’t get extra action points.
Premium membership does not give you extra points immediately but gives you 25% more points every day for a week. So in one day you get 37 APs instead of 30. Exception: when you start the game and buy PM immediately you get the +7 APs at once.
How often do I get Action Points?
You get the APs steadily during the course of the day, so you get one every 48 minutes.
I have to hunt down 3 tiny monsters but I cannot find one.
Be patient, sooner or later those tiny monsters will start coming.
What does it mean that the maximum number of APs is 400 instead of 250?
Players get 30 (premium players 37) APs every day. If you don’t spend them, you can store for them, they are not lost. 250 means that for about 8 days if you don’t log in, you won’t lose any APs. Afterwards you will start losing APs. Players with premium membership can store APs for 11 days. If premium membership expires for a player who has 400 APs he will have 250 APs automatically.
I cannot raise a skill or ability. What is the problem?
In 99% of the cases it means you do not have enough soul energy. If the (+) symbol next to your ability or skill is grey, it means you do not have enough SE. You can check it by simply moving the pointer over the (+), the amount needed to increase the skill/ability is displayed automatically. If the + symbol turns green, it means that you have accumulated enough SE.
Where can I find detailed description about abilities?
The detailed formulas of the abilities are not public. For a player it should be enough that can be found in the game manual.
How is it possible that I get beaten by a player with significantly lower ability scores and equipment while I have premium equipment from soul stones?
If two perfectly identical character duels the chances are 50-50. This is modified by abilities, items (which in fact are also ability modifiers) and character levels. Since the game is designed for a long term, 4-5 difference in abilities and the bonuses provided by a few low-level items does not change that 50% to 100% but rather to 60%, so in 10 battles you will still lose 4. At higher levels significantly bigger differences might exist between players, but you will never have a 100% chance to win a duel, you can still miss and your weak opponent might land a hit. Of course if at level 20 you attacked a first level character you would win, but there is no possibility for this in this game.
How can I turn a burnt-out ancient stone into a real one?
When you buy stones your burnt-out stones turn into real ones too. Read the encyclopedia about burnt-out stones.
Why can't I sell a weapon that I am wielding?
You cannot sell the weapon that you are wielding (i.e. currently equipped) only if you equip another weapon because you cannot fight with your bare hands. You cannot remove your other items either only if you equip a new one in their stead. However you can sell your other items, even if they are equipped.
If I sell a premium item do I get back the ancient stones?
No, unfortunately not.
How can I remove the focus crystal from an item and insert it into another one?
You cannot, you can only replace focus crystals (but you lose the original in this case)

How can I capture and train a pet?
You need to reach level 4 to be able to learn skills. Then you have to learn the trapping skill, for which you need the learning skill at level 3. Afterwards during your hunts you may capture animals depending on the levels of your trapping skill (automatically). You have to learn the pet training skill (at learning level 4) to train your pet.
Why was my quiz question evaluated as wrong?
Read the Evaluation of quiz questions section in the complaints forum. If you have further questions, you can ask them in the quiz forum.
I have defeated another Doomlord but I received 0 XP. Why?
When dueling, you can see a percentage beside the name of each Doomlord: 100, 80, 40 or 20. This number depends on the number of times the particular Doomlord has been attacked in the last hour. The more times he has been attacked, the less SE and XP you will get. If it’s 80, you will receive 80% of the original XP, if 60 then only 60%. If you received only 1 XP, the 40% of it would be 0,4 which is rounded down to 0.
I did a quest but it does not show as completed. Why?
Many people make the mistake of forgetting to accept the quest. You have to click on the quest to make it active.
What happens if I discharge the soul-well?
On the left, you will see a Misc button. Clicking it, you will see an option "discharge soul-well", but only after you have filled up the soul-well. Rest assured, you can click on it without any adverse effect, you will not discharge it immediately but get a brief description. Please read it.
Will there be a second world?
At the moment the game has only one world, but another one will be started on..... You can have one character on a world but you can start a second character on the second world.

Please note that you can evaluate posts. You can also filter out posts with low scores. To do this, choose Profile, then Profile information, and set a minimum value (like 2 or 3).
