Absorption reduces the damage by that amount each combat round. So yes, if the combat lasts for 5 rounds, and your opponent hits you each round, abs. 6 will reduce the damage by a total of 30 points.

what is constitution and iq for? i can find anywhere where it says what each different one is for?

Checkout veteran topic in forum under skills post. Last post is about all abilities. You will also find a lot of info on skills, i advise you to read it so you know what is coming

I will list the abilities here:

Strength: Determines the amount of damage.

Attack: Determines the chance of hitting the opponent.

Defense: Determines how much your opponent's damage will be reduced and how much they will miss.

Constitution: Determines how much health points you have. Also determines the HP regeneration.

IQ: Determines the chance that your spell will hit your opponent. Also reduces the chance of the enemy's spell to hit you.

Magic: Determines how much mana points you have. Aslo determines the mana regeneration.

Taumaturgy: Determines the spell's damage.

Hello-- I have just started to play this game, i must say its kinda slow to grow my character but will give it a shot .. here is my question... I just joined a clan,, and i hear ppl saying to put SE in Well that i can get some att and def advantages from it.. Problem is that i have to put in around 130k SE to fill it.. well i am lvl 2 and i cant do that....

If i leave clan and than i join in aggain will i have to put in less SE since the clan well is currently empty?

Ho. You have to fill up the soul well to get the clan bonuses. The size of the well depends on the number of players and such. Every new member have to first fill up the well.

You are lvl 2 and most likely joined a clan with 10+ people who are much higher in level.

You should leave that clan, then join another where the soul well is smaller.

How can I Duel better. I keep getting beat by lower scores. I am buying from the SoulHuckster. And I keep increasing my abilities. Why am I getting whooped?

Everyone does. Duelling is difficult in low levels.
Also there is a "random" factor in the system. The ability score doesn't really show the opponent's true strength.

- A clan my give him/her +defense, attack, IQ etc.
- If the opponent is resting, he/she gets +10% defense
- A pet has absorption, also it does damage.
- Skills can win you battles.

I got beaten up by a 300 AS player who has 600 Skills. I was with 550 AS and 240 Skills + 2 pets.

Andragod, at low levels its almost impossible to fill up a soulwell of a clan that already has buildings that give bonuses. Either join a very small clan to start building with them and get the bonuses in time or build up your character for a few weeks, increase in level and, after level 4, skills (very important help from them if you read the skills topic under veteran place here in the forum) so when time comes you can join a much stronger clan and fill up the well faster. If you become a good player without a clan, clans will beg you to join them anyway

Level 4 you get skills. Then you have to increase your learning skill to get new skills. Is all explained in the skills topic in veteran post

what are soul diamonds and crystal points... I see in soul huckster i need them to buy extra stuff....

What item/relic was it?

Maybe it was an item that had permanent buff then it gets destroyed. If not, see under the relics in character sheet. You can't equip or unequip them. They will always be active.

Soul diamonds will be useful when you will buy boots. Crystal points are useful when you write your own adventure.
