I have alot of irl work so it'll be delayed a bit.I'll ask the developers as soon as I'll have time to sit in front of the comp when they are there too. Please wait for the answer.

Can we get one of those "are you sure" popups protecting the button that buys ducats for SE? I just accidentally tapped the touchpad when my mouse happened to be over that button, and I didn't really want to spend my SE that way.

I HATE THE 5 DAY AUCTION WAIT!!!

I waited 5 days for a pile of crap to turn into a pile of shit... And now another 5 days to wait.

What is the REASON the Auction House cannot cycle faster? With a slow turnaround, all it means is that the (rare) quality items will go to the same people - the ones who have the Golden Goose and other Ducat generators.

The Admins are royally screwing up what was once a good idea.

Scenario #1: I suicide down to 1 HP, set up a bunch of hunts, and then go off and do something IRL for a while. While I'm gone, I lose my low HP status, and I come back to discover that I lost a bunch of SE to someone.

I think everyone can agree that's how the game is played. If I moo, I will be milked. End of story.

Scenario #2: I suicide down to 1 HP, set up a bunch of hunts. But when my timer runs out, I'm sitting here, set up to hit a DG monster as soon as possible.

It is my position that it is bad for the game to allow someone to hit me in the second or two that it takes me to perform the clicks necessary to suicide again. If someone is playing the game intelligently, they shouldn't be penalized because someone else is either running bots or gets in a lucky ambush.

My proposal is to change the game mechanics so that players can attack slightly before they can be attacked. If they could attack at 14%, that would give them a roughly 15 minute window in which to get their affairs in order. If they could attack at 14.9%, the window would be a minute and a half. This change would allow users who are playing the game the right way to guarantee that they benefit from their hard work without impinging on the ability of duellers to milk less careful cows.

If changing the game mechanics is too radical, how about a new skill, DG item, clan building, AH item, and/or soul diamond item with this effect?

Scenario #3. Same as #2, except that what triggers the loss of low HP status is leveling up instead of the timer running out.

My proposal for this scenario is to add a preference on the settings page to choose whether you want your HP healed up when you level up or not.

Kethios, I understand that these changes are a lot more involved than most of the other requests we've made to date. Accordingly, I probably wouldn't even request them except that I think they will make a big difference. So I'd really like to hear what the reaction of the developers is.

I totally agree on this one with ImBigJon, I know it is probs a bigger thing to implement, but as he said devs probably didn't count on bots/inhumaly good spiders when they made this. 15 min is maybe too much, but that 0.1 prcent that gives you 1min 30 sec to do what you need to do would be critical for players taking care of their SE, but at the same time it would mean nothing to overnight hunters and lazy people leaving their SE laying for hours on them (lazy is too strong of a word, "less obssesive compulsive" is maybe better:).

Just a minor suggestion..
Perhaps a little stylized number inside all of the Medals to signify how many are stacked for each type (ie. Champion, Lady Alvariel, Medal of Doom etc) ... It would be cool to see how many a player has without having to scroll the mouse over the medal to see. Plus it's a good way to show off you have more than others (for the lucky of us that do have more than one)

Petel, if I wanted your opinion, I would tell you what it was.

There is NO reason we can't have:
a) A faster cycle in the Auction House
b) Better relics that are actually worth bidding on.

That's all I'm saying.

You probably won't believe this, but that specific item is always bought for more than 100 ducats on the Hungarian worlds. It's a source of amusement for me and my clan mates every time it pops up in the auction hall.

Faster cycle and better relics will give an additional advantage to some players, it will make the game imbalanced and I strongly disagree with this idea. I started playing this game a long time after W1 was created, yet I can find myself in top 50 (both levels and top SE loots). If the auction house relics were given away every second day I will never have the chance to catch players that started playing before me.

Petel and Viridel, you both have legitimate points but you have made this conversation into something personal. It is supposed to be a suggestion area petel so lines like: Go out find a date are not contributing anything except aggrevation. And Viridel, for the 231th time, make your complains without so much frustration.

Viridel says something should be done with the cycle time of the auction hall. Petel makes a counter point. That is constractive. What you have written so far only looks like a personal fight the rest of the players shouldnt bother with. So all the good that could come from your debate goes to waste since noone else will contribute to it.

Now about the auction hall, i also hate waiting 5 days especially since i am saving for the auction ticket and got overbid twice. That way i wait for months not bidding on anything, hoping noone will save more than me again. But its true that i wouldnt like a shorter bidding time since it will cause players to loose items for not logging in every 1-2 days (eg. lost internet connection). I would propose a random cycle of items. So if you got overbidden on something, it can pop up anytime, even right after the last one. And to avoid the problem of items never poping up for a year lets say, if an item has not appeared for 3 months, it will be included automatically on the next available slot.

So what do you think about that?

Personally, I prefer the current system. I think just adding one more non-lesser slot is the best solution. 1) It should be easy to implement. 2) It would provide better chances for everyone to see something worthwhile to them. 3) It would cycle through the items faster, but 4) it wouldn't change the value of the items as drastically as changing the cycle time would.

P.S. I would also like to reiterate an earlier suggestion to randomize the closing times, so they become convenient for different time zones.

This is false logic. The more quality items, the more Ducats will be spent more frequently. In its current state, there are so few quality items, that they will ALL inevitably be eaten up by players who have Ducat Bonuses or have to drastically overpay for the quality of said item. If there were more quality items, then the market would more accurately dictate the value - it's rudimentary supply & demand.

In your example, again, it's false logic. If more quality items were available, then the top players would still bid on them against each other, and drive the price to the appropriate level. Instead of having to save up 200 Ducats to have a *chance* at a top item, maybe it only takes 150-175 Ducats if more items are available. In fact this opens up the bidding to MORE players, since they won't have to save up for as long to get into play.

As for voicing without frustration, fair enough. But the point is that I've waited a few months spending 2 or 5 APs every day. Selling unneeded artifacts. Waiting for something to come up that would justify spending all that AP/SE worth on... And... Here it is... Nope... Just more crap. Guess what, it IS frustrating.

As for the cycle change, if it were twice a week (3.5 days), it wouldn't change the final bid amount. There are usually only marginal bid changes between days 2 to 4 - all the action is in the 1st and 5th day. So compressing the middle likely won't change the final bidding much at all - except to cycle more items thru, opening more items up to all players. Also, a 3.5 day schedule means that certain regions don't get screwed on the deadline time every single time.

I just don't see how a 3.5 day schedule hurts the game - all I see are benefits.

Saving for a long time does not sound like a waste, after all you do not loose anything, you get more to hit the auction when you want. Compressing the cycle to 3 days will not change that, if you get overbidden you will have less time to collect the gold needed to bid again, especially if 10 players go for the same one you want. I have saved over 500 ducats up to now trying to get what i want, thought that was enough but a player had actually saved over 1000 for the same item! If the item had appeared earlier, i would have 450 and he would have 950, still no item for me..... I know seeing the item faster seems a compensation but loosing it to others more often is not

I do agree too on getting new auction items. After all in another years time most of the top players will be bidding just for the heck of it, making life hard for the rest without actually needing the item. Or another alternative is to find another use for ducats so a player will be bidding or saving up only if he actually wants an item. A casino maybe??

Finally a player should not be allowed to bid for a relic he already has, my understanding is that you cannot get it twice, but you can still drive the price high if you want to mess things up for the rest. If an item you got from the auction house is a one off bonus, players that have it should not be able to bid for it

I stopped wasting AP's on ducats long ago. After thinking and calculating i realized that some people must be crazy to pay for 1 ATT/DEF/IQ, and so on, 10-15 or even 20 ducats and for most of the players the best items are out of reach because of the high level players that started early and didn't spent because they had no item to spend on.
Just calculate how many SE you get from the AP's you spend on ducats and you'll soon realize that you got 1 stat at the price of how many again??!?!

Anyway i don't want to start a war on forum, but V might be right on most points. Faster cycles, maybe more items at once will make auctions appealing.

I like the auction house the way it is. My only complaint is the bidding at the end of the auction does extend the times in odd ways. It's not working like it is written. I like how the auctions on w1 do not all end within the same 1 to 2 hour window. I wish they would be spread out like that on w2. I disagree that a lower level player can't compete. They just have to save and wait to bid on the items they want most. There chance will come, just not immediately.
