see my previous post on the end of the last page, and then tell me how this question got through and was not flagged as being to specific because only a certain group of people would know it.

How many chromosomes does a laboratory mouse have?

seriously? that is not a bit to specific of a question that only people who study genetics would know? that is NOT a GENERAL KNOWLEDGE question!!!

oh btw this question is wrong.

What country traded away Suriname in the past?

England *
Portugal
spain

the answer is None of those.

True, England and the Dutch were both in Suriname at the same time, but England never OWNED Suriname. The Dutch did, and it got it's independence on 25 November 1975. Before that, the English wanted to trade New Netherlands back to the Dutch in trade for the sugar plantations on the coast of Suriname wih the Treaty of Breda on 31 July 1667, but the Dutch declined. So Suriname was never traded away.

How did the bikini get its name?

after Bikini Atoll in the Pacific Ocean (nuclear weapons test site) *
The suit has two "kini" so it can be called bikini
the name was voted in a magazine
no one knows for sure - people just started using the name

I wouldn't worry about spelling. This question is already in the database. Try a different question.

Didn't you previously post that this same question was rejected?! Why are you trying to submit it again. I would say the evaluator was being kind rejecting it for spelling this time so that you don't loose the right to ask another question.

Edit: Yes, post #503:

Let the question go and write a different one.

Chicago (USA) has which of the following nicknames?

Second City
The Windy City
Chi-Town
All of these

The question is valued as "Bad, incorrect question"!
According to evaluators your question is ambiguous.

So does that mean there's more than one Chicago USA or did the evaluator miss the "All of these" option? I came across a question that had an answer that was "all of these" so I thought this was ok? I've resubmitted the question specifying Chicago, Illinois USA

After doing some reasearch, it seems a lot of misspeling rejections are meant to reject a proper grammar question which has other minor issues without the player loosing its right to post the question. If they just mark it ""bad question"", he will need to answer 30 more to post. By saying misspeling they give a chance to correct although thats not the best way i admit

As for bad grammar ones going around, they are being corrected when you report them, just keep sending them here and the admins fix them

In which modern country's territories did The Trojan War happened?

Greece
Turkey
FYR of Macedonia

this is my quiz question with the rejection reason
i may accept any critics on my English , i may accept my fault if there is a similar question but what is "Your answers are ambiguous or wrong to this question." , can someone explain pls?
Answer is Turkey and its there.
I dont think this is a specific knowledge also. At least knowing a singer's birthplace is much more specific than this one.
Anyways if someone tells where my fault is i ll try to fix it or defend my question.

King Oedipus
Hera, wife of Zeus
King Eurytheus
Atlas

I think it is because I put Heracles, the proper Greek name and not Hercules, the later adapted Roman name for the same character. Is that right or is it something more obvious?

I've seen that question, so if yours is being rejected, it could be because it's already in the Quiz. Of course, since it's already in the quiz, and this particular Mod rejected it, they are obviously just screwing you over - since the question IS obviously good. Also, in marking it a Bad question, they are costing you the SE that you would have had a chance to get if you were given the chance to re-write a question (because the last attempt was in the database).

So basically, you got screwed over by the Mods. Welcome to Doomlords, where fair
