I hope you are feeling better after taking all that time writing this. Instead you could just check my rejected reasons topic and see i rejected it as misspelling to save your right to post it again (post 154 in that topic). The reason is that current means nothing. You have to state the year! When the next oil spill happens, your question will be obsolete but still in the database. But since you went ahead and re posted it as it is another evaluator saw it and gave you the proper evaluation that i tried to avoid.

So please (and this goes out to all of the players that might read it ) either check that topic when you get rejected or ask here before re posting to save you the trouble and frustration. Thats the point of the forum, not using it after you got upset to yell at the supposed unfair evaluation

I know it's a relatively small sample, and most players (myself included) haven't posted there... But it appears that 40-50% of the players in this forum are N.A. based. By extension, that should mean that around 40-50% of all game players are N.A. based. As such, asking VERY European questions / terminology is problematic - in the same way as asking / describing things VERY unique to North America is problematic.

This is an EXCELLENT question. With global obesity on the rise, and people starting to become more aware of the direct correlation between that 900 calorie Big Mac and their waist line - for anybody who doesn't already know the answer, I would suggest it would be helpful for them to learn it.

I sort of agree, but last I checked calories was a measure of energy while pound was a measure of weight, so as the question is stated it does not really make sense. I know it's a popular phrase, but you need to link it to some frame of reference. In that regard it's similar to the question that was rejected recently about what affects time. It would have been a good question if it had been put in a context where people without special knowledge could figure out what it was about.

Good point Martin, i was also puzzled when i read that question because i never heard such a comparizon between calories and weight. But since i didnt evaluate the question i waited to see the other players reaction.

I see your point of view, but the question was rejected because it is for specialization. You say that it is a popular phrase and therefore it should not have been rejected for that purpose. Deny the question for inaccuracies or for further developed language. As for being able to figure out the answer, since everyone wants to look up their answers on google, when you type this into google, the answer pops up with 15+ million web hits. But my complaint is still this question is rejected, but questions like:
In what continent Toronto and Buenos Aires are?

and:
What was the name of Seamus Heaney's brother that got killed at the age of four?

are passed while mine get rejected. I do not understand.

Seems pretty clear to me. Granted there will be slight variations person-to-person... But the numbers in the answer are very well spread, in order to accommodate standard deviation.

Regardless, the question has far more value IN the quiz than being rejected. Hopefully it will be re-posted by the original asker.

I am guessing that the question was rejected because you used this word: "MY"

change that to "Household cats" and fix the spelling of "stretch".

Then you might get a better response from the evaluators.

my player Tanstaff on world 3 has had 2 questions rejected - the first asked what material was NOT used to build the three little pigs houses - bricks, straw, sticks or clay (correct answer is clay) this was turned down for spelling ?? - i looked and nothing was misspelled. second question - what was the last American warship sunk in ww2 - USS Enterprise, USS Indianapolis (correct answer), USS Hornet or USS Shark - reason for rejection - ambiguous or wrong answers - there is nothing ambiguous about ship names and the answer is correct - so whats up with these incorrect rejections ? - tyvm, Tanstaff

I don't know about the little pigs, but the second one has 2 potential problems. . .

1. you said "warship" so, any ship mainly intended for combat.

My question hasn't been rejected as of yet, but has 1 'bad' evaluation which will undoubtedly lead to more. The reason being: Spelling mistakes in question or answers.

So how do Russia and Sweden get approved, but Finland doesn't?
