In 1946, baseball player Ted Williams was the last to do this in a single season?

Forgot to write down the possible answers, but this one is a bit to specialized for my taste.

Which Is not a character from the Bourne Film series?
Jason Bourne
Ward Abbott
Matt Damon <- correct answer, and the actor playing the main character, Jason Bourne!!!
Nicky Parsons

Only me, or is this a bit close

Well, your taste is your opinion. Considering this last happened more than 60 years ago, Ted Williams in in the Hall of Fame, has had movies made about him, and has contributed one of the most revered statistics in baseball - why not take a few seconds to learn something - instead of taking ten times longer to complain about it.

As for the Bourne question, it's about logic. Bourne is obviously the key answer (to be eliminated), therefore you have to a) know that Damon played Bourne and b) Abbott and Parsons aren't also actors. I would agree and say this question tries to be too tricky for its own good.

In starting a hunt I answered the first question correctly and was credited with a correct answer. However I did not receive my second question and received the standard "Unfortunately you did not answer the question correctly....." this has happened on several occasions! My question WTF?

About Bourne characters.
For me this is a good and also tricky question. The thing is that Matt Damon is definitely NOT a fictional character but a real person. Others are imagined so I don't really see the problem and I don't think it's too close.

There are how many time zones in the world?
8
24
4
12

This should be "How many..."

But the correct answer is a bit more complicated than 24.
Both India and Nepal are in separate Time Zones, as have several more, so depending on the definition of Time Zones the answer is much higher.

A bee has 5 eyes. I posted this question, with correct answer 5 and it was accepted. Unfortunately, it got kicked out for being under 25% rate. So, this question shouldn't have been accepted

I just got this one

Which of the following is NOT a significant 2010 earthquake according to the U.S.G.S. (as of March, 2010)?

Magnitude 7.0 RYUKYU ISLANDS, JAPAN February 26, 2010
Magnitude 8.8 OFFSHORE MAULE, CHILE February 27, 2010
Magnitude 7.0 HAITI REGION January 12, 2010
Magnitude 7.8 SANTA CRUZ ISLANDS October 07, 2010

I can't remember which one was correct but I think that only some of us could answer this without any problem. And I don't think it's an interesting lexical knowledge.

It seems likely that the one that's still several months in the future is the correct answer, so it doesn't really require any special knowledge. Still, the question boils down to "How closely are you reading this?", which I don't think is a good kind of question to allow.

What nine letter word in the English language is still a word when each of the nine letters is removed one by one?
bartender
ghettoize
milliards
startling <- marked as correct

Nice question, except that it's wrong, only 8 of the nine letters can be removed since "" isn't a word. And the question is ambiguous, could mean that the word can be made into 9 different 8 letter words.

Well, that and "October 07, 2010" has not happened "as of March, 2010"... Unless that's the logic hint that gives the right answer... But then it's not a trivia question, it's a logic problem.

If you choose the correct answer to this question, you will get +10% soul-energy to the 10. hunt from now.
(The maximum time to answer a question is equal to the time of one hunt. If you get an evaluation you have to tick one of the evaluation fields, too!)
You have 04:17 more time to answer.

These are all Prime. A number divisible only by 1 and itself is a Prime. 1 is a "debatable" prime, but by definition of 1 and itself, it is a Prime.

I agree about the date (the one from October) but still I think it's too special knowledge. If every date was from the past, then most of us wouldn't know the answer (of course if most of us are not geologists or seismologists)

Well, the thing is that different sources tell about different years. In some it's 1970, in others it's 1971. So there shouldn't be a problem with choosing the right answer - 1970. In 1970 Freddie Mercury joined Brian May and Roger Taylor (members of Smile band) and later, in 1971, there were four of them, with John Deacon as the bassist.

And here's something from myself.
I just got a question about the War of 1812. Author asked about the countries that fought against each other in this conflict. Correct answer was "America and England". There's a mistake. It was between the United States of America (we surely can say America) and the British Empire (United Kingdom and Canadian Provinces - England is only a part of it).

Oh, maybe... But could you imagine getting a question like that in the Quiz Olympics, where time is precious, and having to look up three answers to eliminate, instead of the one correct answer?
