In the Star Trek Universe, the android named 'Data' has a twin brother named?
Lore (marked correct)
Datum
Q
Byte

while Lore is the brother of Data in Star Trek, he also had another brother introduced in the movie star trek nemesis. The android B-4 while this new brother didn't have as sophisicated a neuronet as either Lore or Data he was physically Identical to both of them. Technically that would make them triplets. So the question is wrong and should be removed or changed

What is the average IQ?

The quiz has the correct answer as 120, but the correct answer is actually 100, which should be common knowledge, but here are a few researched answers confirming this:

http://wilderdom.com/intelligence/IQWhatScoresMean.html :
* Over 140 - Genius or near genius * 120 - 140 - Very superior intelligence
* 110 - 119 - Superior intelligence * 90 - 109 - Normal or average intelligence
* 80 - 89 - Dullness * 70 - 79 - Borderline deficiency
* Under 70 - Definite feeble-mindedness

http://www.iqtest-center.com/iq-scores.php shows another example

http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_is_an_average_IQ_for_an_adult :
The average IQ for anyone is 100. It forms a bell-shaped curve.

those are just 3 confirming samples... please fix this

B-4 was an early prototype. Lore and Data were twins in the sense they were part of the same design, based on B-4.

Which country has no access to the sea?

Bosnia
Croatia
Albania
Greece

The answer is Bosnia, but that is not correct because all countries have access to sea. It is just that Bosnia has only 20 km of sea shore

3 more to the collection of not so good questions:
According to legend you cant see a vampire when you try to take a________?
photograph (marked as correct)
stake to it's heart
holly water to its face
cross in its face

Most legends that I know of does not say much about vampires and photos, but they do say something about vampires and mirrors. Those legends that do, don't say that you can't see the vampire when you try to take the photo, but that they do not show up in photos.

When did Robert Jordan die?
2007
1997
2002
2005

Witch Robert Jordan? in this case it's the author James Oliver Rigney, Jr. who's pen name was Robert Jordan, he died in 2007. But the question should be reworded or removed. Wikipedia, has 7 other Robert Jordans listed.

And finally:
What can you hold without ever touching or using your hands?
Your thumb
Your name
Your heart
Your breath (marked as correct)

This is not a good question, as you can be said to hold your name as well.

"A brick weighs 2kg and half a brick, how much do 2 bricks weigh?"
12kg
8kg*
4kg
2kg

this question makes no sense at all. a brick weighs 2 kg... ok. so a brick weighs 2 kg. what is the "and a half a brick" supposed to mean? a brick and a half? or does the person mean "A brick weighs 2 kg AS a half brick"?

if the question is indeed AS a half brick it is indeed 8 kg because 1 full brick weighs 4 kg then and 2 weigh 8. but the question is not formulated right.

Another facepalm:

"Which of the words would come first in a dictionary?"

- Lemon
- Lementation

...and here I was thinking we were talking about alphabetically arranged dictionary. Lemon was marked as correct...

Oh, or is it some sort of an exception that everyone just should know about?

How big is the earths mantle?

First off Capital E for EARTH, in this case it is a proper noun

I can't remember the numbers but as they were all km (kilometres) I assume that 'big' refers to the average depth of the mantle from bottom of the crust to outer core, and also that we're taking the depth of the Upper and Lower Mantle combined.

'Big' as a description doesn't quite cover it does it?

TWO ERRORS IN ONE DUMB QUESTION
957. hozzászólás - 2010.04.18. 03:51:00
This is exactly why I am about to quit this game. You reject very nicely put questions that are of eighth grade intelligence, then you put in this question:

1. Two misspelled words. L34rN 2 sP3IL, pweeze

2. I got the question correct, but is this question a "GOOD ONE"? Give me a break reviewers.

3. What purpose in life does this give us value? What of the "kids" who play this game have any business looking up or knowing the answer to this question.

I have been invited to some guilds as I play this game. I keep declining as I am not sure if I will be here long enough to contribute to the guild effort. You keep presenting and / or allowing questions like this to continue, then I see Doomlord, "doomed". It may have gone off ok in other countries, but 'this bird dog won't hunt' here in the States!

Which is NOT a recognised region of Scotch Whisky distillation and production?

Lowland
Speyside
Highland
Moorland

What a dumb question to put in the 'hunt'. I am not attempting to insult anyone. I am not pointing my finger at anyone group of people. I found out that the 'scorers' have but just a few minutes to 'grade' the question. They are doing their best. It is just that the core of this game is flawed with the method of generating and rewarding or punishing those subjective questions.

You know you are playing a game, right? Because you seem to think you are working in the doomlord company and they are not paying you enough and you have to suffer day after day the same routine of answering questions that have mistakes in them. If only you could quit..... Well guess what, you are not forced to be here. Report the errors you find, complain about why your question was rejected in order to know the reason, but if its causing you so much problem then why are you still playing???????

just FYI, recognise is the correct english (original, not the american one) spelling of the word. and, whisky is the scottish and canadian version of the drink, whiskey is irish or american. so you may want to look after things before you make a fool of yourself.

My mother and I had a child. Who is my mother?

My brother's grandmother
My son's grandmother <-- marked correct
My son's sister
My aunt

Logic of this question escapes me, but it can be my not-so-good command of English...
