The Hobbit is a pretty famous book, and there is actually a film of it coming out relatively soon (2012). It is 'Probably the most famous children's book of modern times' according to www.tolkien.co.uk, though I guess they would say that! As a result, the fantasy card games that have bloomed recently is the 'what is the second best' aspect they're trying to get rid of in the system.

However, it is a fairly specific question which not many people (including me, and I've read it) will know off by heart. It is an interesting scene so I don't think it's too much of a bore to look up again though

Technically, the question doesn't specify where the Euro was introduced. I agree, though, that clause does make the question awkward. A better form would be what was the currency in 2010 and have Euro as one of the incorrect options.

Standard CET is GMT+1 and in the summer CET is GMT+2

if +2 was not an option in answers it would be half right, as +2 is an option it makes it wrong.

Spelling makes this confusing.

I guess it should read 'How many litres in one gallon' (English spelling. I know some prefer 'liters')
The next problem is that there are 4.55 litres in a UK gallon so the "correct" answer of 4 is incorrect.
There are 3.785 liters in a US gallon so it is wrong there too.
