Ok if that's true, but my dictionary came up with 28 meanings and synonims, and none of them was a profession.

PS - u noticed how my "good point questions" usually don't get answered, only my bad ones

Valkyrie: I correct the "good point questions" and answer the bad ones. This way you know, why aren't they corrected.
Actually, in my Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary, there are only three meanings to printer:
1. person whose job is printing
2. owner of a printing firm
3. machine for printing esp. one attached to a computer.
So try to use a smaller dictionary.

ChaoticGemini:The question was: "The method of drawing graticule is called ________ ."
I am not exactly sure, if it is called map projection or not.

well, to be honest, I used translator more than a dictionary, so there were more translations, but none "alive".

But, I must say that a lot of errors weren't corrected(regarding quiz, and some other areas), or explained why they weren't corrected. Some of them were even mentioned more than once, and still nothing (I can find a couple if u wish).

I get u guys (and gals) are busy, but still, a simple "will be done" or something similar would be nice, given the fact that we are reporting these issues on our free will and time, just for the reason of improving this game.

Maybe it'd be a good idea to go through this forum once from the start and correct forgotten ones?

Thanks Hatsepsut for pulling up the question. I went and did more reading about graticule than I ever thought was possible. I'm still not sure what the question is trying to ask about the method of drawing, but I now have a whole new collection of useless knowledge floating in my head

There can not be an opinion when facts are concerned. That is why they are called facts If MJ is alive, than it is a fact, not opinion. Wouldn't you agree? Would you be kind enough to give me your opinion about these questions?

1.) The smallest muscle in a body isn't in eye, it's in ear, and moves the smallest bone... I think it isn't corrected*

2.) The question asking to calculate sqrt of 490000 requires a calculator, and i think it should be removed as well. *isn't corrected* (I got it after reporting)

3.) Who was the first actor to receive one million dollars for a movie? (post no.52) *isn't corrected*

4.) What is rhino's horn made of? - I got this question after reporting it, but not for a long time so I don't know if it's corrected or not

5.) A question about cause of death of Magic Johnson. Magic is NOT dead! - it wasn't corrected for a long time, didn't get it lately, so it might be, but I don't think it is

6.) A question which country doesn't have pyramids, it states Brazil as the correct answer - not sure if it's corrected cause it's new (to me)

There. These are questions I found with no answer and not corrected I believe. For others, I don't know. And I didn't want to write any of those questions that got accepted and, by the rules of writing questions, shouldn't have gotten accepted. I'll leave that to the "opinion thing"

Also, there are lots of bugs reported (mostly hungarian sentences instead of english) that still aren't corrected. Sloppyness of the coders perhaps?

Anyway, thx in advance for your answer

What name is the term "Oxidation" more commonly known as?

It says rust, but that's not quite right. The term 'rust' is commonly used to refer to iron oxide. If it said 'rusting', fine, but it doesn't. Rust is a physical thing, oxidation is a process. So, obviously, they aren't the same thing.

All of the above mentioned questions were corrected or deleted long ago, except the first.
That was my fault, because according to more Hungarian language sources, the smallest muscle is in the eye. Now it is corrected, too.

Why can't I write a question? When I do write it, it doesn't take it. It goes back to the start and erase my question... :S

You may have a forbidden word in your question, however this should be indicated somewhere in the quiz window.

What kind of dragon did Harry Potter defeat in the Triwizard Tournament?
Swedish Short-Snout
Hungarian Horntail
Chinese Fireball
Welsh Green

Isn't this special knowledge? Not everyone read all the books or watched the movies, you know...

I mean, the type of the dragon... (btw, I happen to know this one).

What does each whole unit on the Richter scale represent?
An inch of precipitation
A 30-fold increase in wind velocity of a tornado
A 10-fold increase in damage done by an earthquake
A 30-fold increase in an earthquake's magnitude

It's actually a 10-fold increase or decrease in the ground's shaking amplitude.

Which ship took the first settlers to America?
Mayflower
Bounty
Cutty Sark
Santa Maria

Let's take each choice:
The Santa Maria was Columbus' flagship to "discover" America in the 1400's, but they didn't settle
The Mayflower established Plymouth Colony and arrived in 1620.
The Bounty is from the 1700's
According to an internet search, The Cutty Sark is a clipper ship. Built in 1869.

Now here's the problem: In 1607, 3 ships, the Susan Constant, Godspeed and Discovery set up a colony along the Chesapeake that became Jamestown. Yeah, they died, but they were here and settled before the Mayflower brought its group of radical Puritans.

Wow, the quiz really makes me second guess things. Here's the latest:

Which European monarch reigned for the longest time?

I thought the answer was Karl Friedrich, from what is now southern Germany and ruled for 73 years. He wasn't a choice, so I got the question wrong, but it said the answer was Louis XIV of France. When I looked him up after the quiz net sources say he only ruled for 72 years.

There are 2 September 11 questions. One asks the year and one asks the full date of the event that brought down the twin towers.

I thought we were not supposed to ask specific date questions.
