Sure, and then you can circumfence the earth 300000/40008=7,49 times, still not 12. So the answer is still wrong.

Also the units used make no difference and their inclusion is irrelevant thus:-

If you could travel at the speed of light, how many times could you circle the Equator in one second?

(The shape of the Earth could also be described as an 'oblate spheroid'.)

"What number is opposite 2 on a standard dice?"

dice is a plural word.
solution: either change 'dice' to 'die' or remove 'a'.

there are dice of with varying numbers of sides (4,6,8,10,12,20,100, etc), and this impacts what number is opposite the 2.
solution: add 'six-sided' after 'standard'.

suggestion: "What number is opposite 2 on standard six-sided dice?"

The question asking which of the books in the Harry Potter series is incorrect. Because they have "harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone" as the first book and it should be "Sorcerer's Stone" instead.

Actually both title variations are correct.

It's a really interesting problem. I wasn't sure if you are right, so I checked it. On half of the books and movie posters I saw Philosopher on the other half Sorcerer. So I checked it again, this time on the Rowling homepage, and found that originally, in England it was published as Philosopher's Stone, but in the US as Sorcerer's Stone. It was the same with movies.

I wonder how did they solved this in the movie conversations, but I heard only the dubbed, Hungarian version of this film.

Which calendar was in force before Julian calendar in most of Europe?
Gregorian calendar
Hebrew calendar
Persian calendar
Thai solar calendar

To my knowledge, there was no majorly recognized calendar in europe before the julian calendar.
The answer marked as correct, is indeed the right answer with the following correction :

"before" -> "after the"
W1 - Kalann
W2 - Azanael
W3 - Haakon

The name of the tenth book of the Bible is Psalms, not Psalm. It is a collection of Psalms and there is no reason the name of the book would be singular.

Not posted for a while, and am seeing so many mistakes lately, in game as well as the quiz, that I don't have the time, or inclination to do some one else's job.

But couldn't let this pass.

Q-Where is Chile?

Answer given America.

Since when?

Hi Dancer,

with all respect (and the question is not mine, for the order) but in my knowledge; an answer "America" is not the same as "USA". And "America" (=N+S) still is seen as a continent; right?
Or... was the answer USA? Because than indeed it should be corrected.

It would be "just the same" as asking the location of eg. France ... A.: in Europe. No?

Regards,
E.

Hi E,
After researching a little bit, it seems that the discussion of America (both N and S) being a single continent, depends on where you live and the education system of your country (!!!).
But the generally accepted convention, which the both the Americans and Chileans adhere to, (and the question is after all about Chile), is that there are 7 continents. With North and South America counting as 2 separate continents.

Hi Manunkind,
Of course you are totally correct about die and dice, and as stated ( Which I fondly remember from my D&D youth!) there are many different sided versions, but isnt stating " On a standard dice" (sic) enough?

Call me pedantic, but he beheaded none of his wives. He had 2 of them beheaded.
But, personally, beheaded none.
